  1. Man this ump is inconsistent as f***.
  2. Say what you want about Stroman, but his defense as a pitcher is top shelf.
  3. Great, ump has gone blind again, but at least he gave Grichuk one back
  4. Facing Lopez tonight should be easy. Eliminate the outer half since he can't throw his slider at all anywhere near the plate.
  5. Must not be updated. They have 41 players, 2 of whom are on the 60 day DL in Tulo and Cruz. 1 open spot
  6. Please stay healthy for the next 7 years...... Please stay healthy for the next 7 years...... Please stay healthy for the next 7 years...... Please stay healthy for the next 7 years...... Please stay healthy for the next 7 years......
  7. 3 up 3 down on weak grounders... not bad
  8. Sox are taking all the way on the first pitch so far just lay it in there
  9. I don't either. Was a pretty borderline swing that culd easily have been called strike 3, but ... still that's an early hill to die on with none out in the 1st
  10. AwfuL. Was never a strike Teoscar. Gotta let that s*** go
  11. That's a piss poor approach by Solarte. Guy with 0 command so far tonight and you swing at the first one that isnt even good.
  12. Short night for the White Sox manager and pitching coach. Both tossed without recordng an out.
  13. Back to back to lead off the game doesn't suck.
  14. Bo just led off the game with his 9th HR
  15. It's probably too late for a guy to "iron out" his control by the time he has reached AAA and subsequently the majors. The command he has now may slightly improve.... but it's unlikely to take a major step forward.
  16. Yup. Too many shoulder problems has basically killed him
  17. You can bet it wasn't much. The market for rentals just isn't what it used to be. I think people's frustrations with the return on this trade stems from 2 things.... 1. The fact that Happ was the Jays best trade chip, which speaks volumes about how the season is going. 2. Unrealistic expectations. Advanced metrics have pretty much kiboshed the rental return market recently. Even the return the Orioles got for Machado would be considered garbage not too long ago.
  18. That's not entirely true. A guy hitting 9th with GG defense in CF can play on a contender. Though as I consider what you posted, i think you mean going forward that he won't be GG calibre D in CF. That's reasonable
  19. The word "potential" should have preceded years of control. But it makes sense.
  20. Even if Drury and McKinney end up being backups that provide .5 WAR each for 2 seasons and then fade away.... that's better than having Happ for 2.5 months in a non playoff year.
  21. 9 years of control over position players that aren't trash is a pretty decent return on a pending UFA that isn't helping your team get to the playoffs. Neither are likely to be stars, but if you squint you can see a few WAR combined over the next few seasons.
  22. 10:18PM: “The industry belief” is that the Yankees and Brewers are the front-runners for Happ, Sherman writes. The Cubs still “might be in play,” though Chicago also asked the Jays about Marcus Stroman. In another tweet, Sherman mentions that the Blue Jays like Yankees infielder Brandon Drury. 9:33PM: The Yankees still look like the favorite for Happ right now, with Feinsand calling them “the leader” of the teams in pursuit, and SNYTV’s Andy Martino saying the Bombers are “in strong position.” A trade may not be imminent, as Joel Sherman of the New York Post hears that a deal is “unlikely” to take place tonight. (All links to Twitter.) Both Feinsand and Martino list the Cubs and Brewers still being involved, with Martino adding the Rockies as a new team to the Happ rumor mill. Feinsand feels the number of teams in on Happ will result in a nice trade return for the Blue Jays.
  23. Time for Morales to pitch. f*** this
  24. Wtf is this. 3 straight ******** hits lol
