  1. As have I. And I live in a place where it was 37 degees today... it sucks.
  2. It must be nice being a perfect human.
  3. He's being activated for tomorrow's series in NH.
  4. So is an oven...
  5. Playing in Vegas in the summer would suck. So fuggin hot
  6. Milwaukee statement
  7. This. It's a hail Mary bomb for 2019 with a fuse sticking out of it that can be easily lit.
  8. I would love this being from Lethrbidge.... I just don't see it happening. If there's such a fight to get the Flames a new building, I can't imagine what it would take for a baseball stadium to go up.
  9. The Grizzlies had a shot, but they just drafted s***** overall, and when they did draft a great player (Steve francis) he refused to play there and had to be traded (then won ROY). They were just bad and with the weak dollar at the time it was a no brain decision to shut it down.
  10. I think Vancouver could easily sustain an MLB franchise. It's got the population base, it's already a hotbed for amateur and minor league ball, and there's corporate money oozing from every orifice of the city
  11. Hardy avoidable. Once it's out there, it's out there forever
  12. Yeah. It's easy for me given what I hear kids talk about these days. Kids think they know everything and have no clue what repercussions their actions or words can have on their futures. They don't even fully grasp that what they are saying is despicable. They just know it's funny to the people they are tweeting it out to. All pf us as teens have been through the stages where we listen to certain music, watch certain movies when we know our parents would murder us if they found out, but we do it anyways, because we think it's funny to be contrary. Kids can be told that the N word is s*****, but they all use it amongst themselves anyways regardless, because f*** anyone who tells me what to do. Rational adults should know this and be able to get past this, but of course the professional outragers will be out in full force.
  13. Wishful thinking. Not even Baltimore is stupid enough to trade Machado for nothing. And that's saying alot because Baltimore is really f***ing stupid
  14. These are pretty tame actually if you've ever listened to 17 year olds talk these days.
  15. Segura crushed that s***. Votto feels extra s***** now lol
  16. There's actually alot of factors in this very common belief in Napoleon's shortness. 1 was exactly was you said, average height now and then are different. 2. He was usually surrounded by his personal guards, which were taller than he was, so he seemed short compared to them 3. French measurement and English measurement at the time were not quite the same. They both used feet and inches to measure things, but English feet and French feet were not the same. In French units, he was 5 foot 2 inches, which was the equivalent of 5 foot 6.5 inches in British units. So anyone English hearing he was 5 for 2 would definitely think he was short.
  17. Napoleon wasn't even short. ..
  18. Sure, any player should also, theoretically, be better going 1 year at a time as soon as they are out if the 6-7 year thing. But.... it's the clubs offering deals. Trout probably could make more money year by year, but the clubs want that guy long term because of the lesser risks involved. Highly doubt teams would only want the best position players 1 year at a time.
  19. From a club POV though, they don't have to risk long term dollars on an arm that's basically always 1 pitch away from being gone for an entire year, and then gambling on a return to the exact same form as before. Position players have far less injury risk overall. Tye following 2 scenarios assume everything is equal. First, would you rather have Trout signed for 10 years 300 million, or Kershaw? Second, would you rather only have Trout on a 1 year deal for 45 million... or Kershaw?
  20. It's an interesting stance. Can only be qualified once.... or if traded can't be qualified anyways. I like it for pitchers tbh.
  21. Weird ending to the Lugnuts game last night. They scored 5 runs in the top of the 9th to tie the game at 7, but the power in the stadium failed before the bottom half could start, and by MILB rules, since the game was unable to be finished, the score is determined by the last complete inning, so the Nuts lost 7-2. https://www.milb.com/lansing/news/lugnuts-game-tying-rally-in-9th-erased-by-power-failure-in-7-2-loss/c-285745860
  22. Granderson looks really out of sorts right now. He's getting fooled by everything
  23. What's the statcast on that one I wonder... 305 feet maybe? Edit, how'd I know that was coming lol. 331 feet
  24. f***ing pesky pole.... what a joke of a park lol
