  1. Colorado's owner just cant stop from punching himself in the dick. It's comedic how bad he is at his job. But, at least he's willing to spend money.
  2. Stroman and Manoah are like the old cartoon with the tiny dog that bounces around the giant bulldog doing nothing but yapping until the bulldog punches him in the face.
  3. After all that you have Bichette batting 3rd?
  4. Weird fact. If we assume all projected salaries for arbitration players for Cincinatti are accurate, the 6th highest salary with be paid to Ken Griffey Jr.
  5. For sure. He's the kind of arm that could come right in and be amazing though. Or, could be a nothing burger that gets released in 2 weeks.
  6. Lets remember we also have Phelps coming back, he could win a job and be quite good.
  7. Not only throw at a guy, but then stand there and practically encourage them to come out. I want Manoah on my team all day, every day.
  8. Cleveland is in a tough spot with Ramirez. he's obviously a great player and is fully entrenched as the face of their franchise, excellent contract for 2 more seasons. He's not really replaceable. That said, the longer they wait to move him, the lower the price tag gets. There's no doubt that from here to the end of 2024, right now is his max value. And, for a team that will never be up against the luxury tax, it behooves them to get the max they can if they aren't truly looking at contention.
  9. Its not the money for me, its the getting nothing for the money. I would gladly pay a 4th OF 10 million dollars (on a team like this mind you that's already a legit contender) if he was still putting up positive value and good defense.
  10. Sale's already headed to the DL with a rib fracture. Too bad.
  11. But the fact that it's close, really shows how bad we all feel about Randall.
  12. No. Dyson is well past his usefullness. Below replacement level without a doubt
  13. True, but Price was only there for 74 innings. Stroman only pitched 20-some innings. The 4th starter was actually Hutchison who was brutal. It was Estrada, Dickey, and Buehrle as the top 3, then Hutch the tire fire in the 4 and a rotating tire fire of Doubront, Redmond, Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Scott Copeland until the Price trade. Stroman was a September callup, threw very well in his 4 starts. Overall, the 2022 rotation from day 1 would definitely be superior to start with.
  14. Palacios is left handed, good at Defense, but ... who the hell knows with the bat. No track record in the bigs and doesnt project well with the bat, so right now he's probably on the Buffalo shuttle. Brett Gardner is available, and would be cheap. Still projecting at 1 WAR over 400 PAs. Still a good baserunner, not terrible on D but probably trending down. Vetrin presents.
  15. No doubt. 2015 the Jays were tops in the league by far at 5.45 runs per game. 2021 Jays were'nt far behind though at 5.22, and that was with Springer gone for months - and now adding in Chapman. 2022 could be an entirely new level offensively.
  16. Pie in the sky hopes would be that Merryweather is that guy .... if his arm doesn't actually detach during his delivery one day.
  17. THis list has been out since January, and he's ranked equally to Groshans at a 45 FV. They just have his name printed first.
  18. True, but they guys they've helped, the reasons havent been injury related. It's entirely possible that Chapman won't be able to swing the same way anymore. At worst though, he's still valuable based on his D, but i'd definitely love to get the real Chapman offensive powerhouse back also.
  19. Cincinatti probably just acquired him so they could sell him for less than he's worth along with a few prospects. Can't trade prospects without a big league salary dump along with them.
  20. Adding chapman's expected salary would put them right around 162 million.
  21. Garret was projected to earn 2.5 million this year. Selling him for a more expensive pitcher seems counter intuitive
  22. This. I'd much rather the Os keep emulating the Os. Keep up the great work!
  23. I really hope Chapman gets back to hitting balls in the strike zone. Really that's his only problem the past 2 seasons. Walk rate still good, power still good, still swings at the right pitches and doesnt swing at the bad ones... but he's been swinging and missing strikes a lot more since the hip issues.
  24. Phillies didn't either. 79 million or take a hike.
  25. If you want to Cherry pick time frames.... id rather be the yankees and dodgers since almost ever.
