  1. Hays should have like 4 walks already and they have 1 Stop swinging at garbage!
  2. I think its like anything else, they identify an underlying skillset they think they can polish into something useable with the right tweaks. Sometimes theyre right (Clement, Lukes), other times theyre wrong (Sosa). No team gets it right every time Except the f***ing Rays and their voodoo soul-selling overlords
  3. Not that anyone here needs another example of why pitcher Wins are stupid, the scorer gave Macko the W in the game and not Miles.
  4. About to see Chandler, Skenes and Keller when the Pirates ride into town. Tough test for the boys Chandler vs Gausman, Skenes vs Corbin, Keller vs Cease Chandler cant throw strikes, but our guys seem to be allergic to walks so... who knows how that will go. Gausman will keep us in it and give us a chance. Skenes is Skenes so we know how that will go. Corbin's magic has to wear off eventually. Keller vs Cease is our best matchup for sure. Hopefully Chandler implodes and Cease lays down the hammer and we take 2 of 3.
  5. how many times has he even seen a 3 ball count??? - 5 times. For contrast, Clement has 13 in 197 PA. 7 walks.
  6. Lukes homered in Dunedin tonight. Give him a few more games and he'll be ready to go
  7. More Yankees board doom and gloom comments would be gravy right now
  8. Lukes got his first rehab game the other day, he'll be back pretty quick
  9. And threw them to LHH, which he almost never does anymore. Might have been a scouting report "f-you" to the Yanks
  10. Thats Jeff "f*** the fastball, i'll just throw sliders" Hoffman
  11. I dont think hes 100% healthy either. Soemthing nagging him for sure
  12. Clement. I really want to take Straw but the 2 PAs hes gonna get before he gets subbed out for Sanchez is too big a gamble.
  13. Yeah Unfortunately hes also Mike Trout in that the org hes on is trash and will never win with him in the lineup.
  14. Yup... 1.000+ ops at home, .750 away. All HRs at home. Short LF porch stats boost most likely.
  15. Yeah, feels like you hope Fisher can give ya 2, Miles 4, then go from there. I really dont want to see Yariel again perosnally, but that probably cant be avoided.
  16. Got the win but that was some god-awful pitch calling for Varland. Dude can throw 100mph fastballs yet they had him throwing his 3rd and 4th best pitches the entire inning.
  17. Ill take Varsho because i enjoy being wrong in this prediction contest
  18. His performance this year isn't enough of an ego check I guess. I know all pro athletes generally have to have a healthy ego or they wouldnt make it to where they are, but when it crosses into semi-delusion it's a little alarming
  19. Johnny King made it through 5 IP again, 5k, 3bb, 4 hits, but whats kind of impressive is he threw 28 of his 73 pitches in the 1st inning, then came back and slammed the door over the next 4 using only 45 more. Good thing to see him bounce back like that
  20. 100+ mph pitches by starters, 2026 (entering Monday) 233 - Misiorowski 149 - every other starting pitcher in MLB combined
  21. They should just tell him to do some fake-swings for 4 consecutive PAs, just to see what would happen. Pitchers clearly know they don't need to throw strikes against him
