  1. I agree 100%. With catcher's you wait until there's nothing left to learn at AAA, injuries take everyone else out and he's your last option, or it's September and he's just up as a 3rd catcher to get a few PAs and maybe catch a few innings at the end of a blowout.
  2. Yeah, but the manager is going to make the decision based on the info the trainer gives him. Admitedly I do not know the proper on-field procedure for trying to diagnose a pinky metacarpal fracture, but I bet the trainer does and Jansen would have passed it or he wouldnt have been left in.
  3. Getting HBP on the pinky is just a bad break. .... .... .... Yep.
  4. Seems like a pretty knee-jerk reaction. Maddon is not the problem.
  5. If you're referring to Ben Cherington... that's even better. Last time the Jays traded with Cherington, he traded for our manager. Double win for the Jays this time around, trade the bongo player for Bednar.
  6. Screw Rosenthal, trade for David Bednar. Poor guy is wasting away in Pittsburgh, and their FO is dumb as hell. Could probably get him for a Big Mac combo meal.
  7. Chapman has quietly had a pretty good couple of weeks. Last 14 days: .297/.422/.405 Last 7 days: .353/.476/.529 Probably not going to sustain that of course but just another Jay on a heater right now.
  8. Was just the camera angle that made it look like a riser, but it was a disgusting pitch.
  9. For every “he’s having a monster year going into free agency” story, there’s like 50 that don’t. It’s just a lazy narrative that falls apart under the most basic examination
  10. That Vlad HR pretty much proves the ball is drastically different right now. That ball had no business going as far as it did.
  11. 8 and 9 take walks, top of the order has to do some damage
  12. In the future could you please start all your posts with “Hey hey!” It would be awesome,
  13. Pearson maybe comes up and does the piggyback thing with Strip perhaps, which also allows Pearson to stretch out a bit at the same time. Might not happen as he’s still so fresh off the DL, but one thing the Jays do not have is SP depth.
  14. I’ll say 7-3 jays, Biggio gets off the struggle bus and goes yard.
  15. June 3 Vladdy - 1 Point -Jays4life19 Springer - 1 Point - Bichette - 2 Points - Deadpool, JaysAllMighty, Dylan Teo - 2 Points - JFD Jansen - 2 Points - Chapman - 3 Points - Grant77, P2F Kirk - 3 Points - Gurriel Jr - 4 Points - Espinal - 5 Points - wilko Biggio - 6 Points - john_havok Tapia - 8 Points - Zimmer - 8 Points - Off the bench: 8 Points -
  16. Man it’s great to see these guys having good PAs again. Being patient, swinging at strikes…
  17. Think it got him on the shoulder or back first, but damn, that caught him pretty flush
  18. 3rd hanging breaking ball, finally pulls the trigger and does a good thing. About time
  19. Two hanging breaking balls not even offered at…interesting approach.
  20. Teoscar’s PAs lately have looked very good. Not just because of the results but because he’s stopped swinging at trash early in counts
