  1. I was watching the game at the time and said the exact same thing. Everyone in the park knew a slider was coming
  2. Not sure, this is what I was able to find: "According to the arrest report, an officer was flagged down by an individual yelling at Mayfield. The quarterback, dressed in a gray hoodie stained with soy sauce, was told to stay at the scene by the officer, but then began, “yelling profanities and causing a scene.” When Mayfield tried to leave the scene, he was subsequently chased down and arrested by officers. Dash cam video of the arrest released March 10 shows Mayfield getting tackled into a wall by police." argument on the street while drunk. I think we've all been there. Hell, Spanky has probably been there a few times this week, except the street is his living room and the other guy was a plant.
  3. Pearson is going to be the next El Glorioso!
  4. What would a trade package even look like for Ohtani? Top 3-ish prospects plus at least 1-2 young position players that don't suck? I mean its the Angels so they're definitely gonna screw up even if they do trade him At the deadline, Morosi had speculated a trade of Ohtani to the jays would require Tiedemann, Moreno, Max Castillo and Orelvis.
  5. NO chance the Rays sign Ohtani, that Freeman stuff was just lip service for sure.
  6. Meh, public intoxication... the whitest crime ever. Call me when it's domectic abuse, rape, or murder.
  7. Looking at AL ranks, Seatlle ranks 5th in pretty much everything as a team... wRC+, Def, fWAR... run differential they're one of the 7 teams with a positve run diff and its pnly 8 runs different than the Jays. I dont think it's a stretch to say they're a solid wildcard team. Side note, all wildcard teams have a better record than Cleveland. God the Central sucks so much ass.

    Now that Chara has retired....
  9. Unlucky bounce and unlucky lights. I know Teo isnt exactly a gold glove out there but you could see him turn his head at the last second. He definitely lost it in the lights.
  10. Kinda feels like the pen should have been throwing to start this inning, knowing it was going to be the 3rd time through.... every single metric and number shows that Strip gets roasted the 3rd time through.
  11. I think he lost that in the lights at the last second... damn
  12. start of the 3rd time through... should be getting the pen ready
  13. With his #'s this season, 2 years aint gonna cut it. Chances are we get a comp pick at best at this point.
  14. Holy hell Schwarber is gifting us these runs
  15. He'd be 38 by then, his stick already showing pretty clear signs of age related decline relative to his former self. .
  16. This isnt confirmed yet, but something like this when it gets reported by "sources" usually is correct.
  17. No doubt. You're a true Cardinal.
  18. It's so tragic that STL gave up virtually nothing in trade and landed Arenado and Goldschmidt. They also get competitive blanace picks every year, yet still spend towards the top of the league. If their fanbase wasn't such a giant pool of s*** I could almost admire the team.
  19. For context on Judge's season... Goldschmidt is wrecking the world with the bat and is still more than 3 fWAR behind him (some of that is defense related).
  20. It would take quite a collapse for the Jays not to make the playoffs, even a split with the Rays in Tampa would virtually seal one of the wildcard spots. Orioles schedule is about 50/50 in terms on easy/hard. Next 3 against the Tigers, then 4 against Houston, 4 against Boston but then they finish up with 3 against the yankes and 3 vs the Jays. Chances are their fate will be sealed prior to the Yankees series.
  21. Milwaukee up on the Yanks by 1 in the 4th
  22. Pretty simple message here from Walker. “you’re better than the bottom of the lineup, get after them”
  23. Lol that was pisspoor pitch selection for the Os there. Blow to 95mph fastballs through a guy, he swings late indicating he’s sitting on something offspeed…the pen throw an offspeed pitch to him. Deserved to give up a bomb, lucky it was only a double
  24. Just use wOBA and wRC and boil your argument down into 1 sentence. Soto has been demonstrably better than Bo with the stick and it’s not really close. Defense Bo closes the gap a bit although I really don’t think Soto is as bad a defender as his numbers show this season, seasons past he’s been right around average. Chances are he won’t be Manny Ramirez bad going forward.
