I don’t get it either. Their team is entirely made of guys who don’t strike out much and put the ball in play a lot. Should have the best defensive guys out there in the right spots.
Yeah that lineup is not the most defensively optimized for sure. For a contact snappy team I’d probably just stack the best defensive lineup I could. Even if it takes 1 better bat out of the lineup, you don’t need to score 8 against Cleveland to win. Pitch around Ramirez and basically their entire lineup is light hitting aside from Naylor, who you can K often enough to not really matter so much.
White looks decent. Curveball is pretty good, fastball is mid 90s. slider can be good. If they can develop that changeup a bit more and get it as even an average pitch, solid starter material.
so is this guy all about deception in his delivery? Stuff doesnt look that impressive but he's definitely all kinds of funky in the way he looks throwing the pitches. Skinny kid with limbs flying everywhere.
At 16 if she couldt still pitch competitively against the guys, she probably wouldnt be. Chances are in the next year or so though she'll start to fall behind as the guys muscle up and she doesnt. Unless of course she figures out how to throw the perfect knuckleball.
If he was straddling the plate, there would be no problem. He’s in front of it up the baseline by enough of a distance that there no actual lane to the plate. There a lane to between his legs to more distance to the plate.
Converstaion point:
Is the fact that Chapman is just 1 HR behind Vlad MORE indicative of Vlad having a down year or Chapman having a good year? And before you answer, I know it's probably a mix of both... but which side accounts for more?
Yeah, like, if his left foot was even 1 foot to the right and on the baseline... no issues. I get the argument a bit that if the throw takes you into the runners path etc etc.... but if a play like this is so close to being a borderline call, then I think you have to err on the side of the runner givne the runners lack of options.
Maybe. I just dont see the argument on that play. even the guys on MLB tonight were like "he could have slid between the catchers legs... that's a running lane..." and then i turned it off because of the objective stupidity of that argument.
Even with that the case, I’d rather Zimmer still be in CF and JBJ in RF, than Tapia still in the game defensively.
The OF d is now worse, and Teo hit with 2 outs instead of 1. To me, it looks like the wrong series of moves
