  1. What a waste…first 2 on, pop up, K and K
  2. I do not understand why Teo wasn’t hitting for Tapia…now he’s hitting for Zimmer, which makes the defense worse, and he’s hitting with 2 outs instead of 1
  3. Teo available to pinch hit?
  4. If they could morph the 2 players together ... unstoppable. Great eye, great D, good pop.... probably a 5+WAR player
  5. Yeah, missing by 1 game was rough, especially since the Jays handled their own business and got f***ed over by a god awful pen implosion by the Nationals. However, look at where they were before they went on that 14 game winning streak late in the season and missing by 1 game doesnt seem so bad. Yes, it would be nice to see a sustained winning streak but hell they're currently 16-7 since the world was made right with numbnuts firing. Expecting better than a .696 winning percentage over the rest of the season is pretty unrealistic. The Yankees are only running at .645 and if you remove their last 2 series they lost, were pretty much exactly at .696. Those kind of runs are fewer and further between than Grant going to a game at Fenway.
  6. Somewhere, Grant is having a coronary with the reality of the Jays picking up an ex member of the BoSox.
  7. Possibly, but his numbers this year at a higher level are already pretty much equal to his High A numbers from last year, so he's not getting worse. He's just getting challenged by the higher competition and needs to make probably more than 1 adjustment to get back on track. He won't figure out how to hit AA pitching at A+.
  8. Well, results have been largely good, but there's some definite concern in his underlying numbers that could indicate he could be due for some much worse results. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/jordan-romano-605447?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb Those top 6 category percentile rankings are not good at all.
  9. Orelvis completely dumped out of the top 100 is a bit shocking, even though he's not having a barn-burner of a year, he's still 20 at AA, murders baseballs when he does connect, and has a defensive position on the left side of the IF. That's usually at least top 50 worthy from BA. They must be terrified of his hit tool
  10. Nah. They can both unload on balls with regularity with their loads, so... I don't see the problem.
  11. I agree with this. I dont miss home plate collisions, and they don't add anything to the game.
  12. This sucks so much, fouling off all these balls outside the zone just gives Archer no need to throw strikes
  13. Stolen by the ump show, should been a 4 pitch walk
  14. Ah well, when u get 3 or 4 extra balls as a pitcher, chances are you’re gonna win the encounter
  15. Ball 6… still a full count
  16. He’s guessing now that anything outer half is a breaking ball that will end up outside and just not swinging. Bad approach atm
  17. Ball 4…. No wait…ump show means it’s 2-2
  18. Some nice ink on the waitress’ leg back there
  19. CHappy should eat Archer alive
  20. Beauty. Bichette has found a home in the 5 spot
  21. 91 , straight fastball, inner half, thigh high…let’s it go by? Nice single next pitch but ya gotta let it fly on a meatball like that
  22. Twins are sitting on the change 100% right now
  23. Yes, but you’re still ignoring the part of the argument that once a ball is contacted by the bat, the pitcher has 0 control over the outcome of the play. Therefore, it is illogical to allocate the outcomes of said contact against the pitcher as something that is based on skill. If two pitchers give up the nearly the same amount of ground balls over a season, and 1 pitcher gives up 50 more runs than another, saying that one pitcher is therefore worse than the other based on runs allowed(which is what bWAR does) isn’t nearly as useful as it seems.
  24. Angles just hit 7 solo HRs in their game to account for all their runs (1st time in MLB ever) and lost.
  25. Man, if Vlad is looking the other way and is pulling-off like that, not sure what to say
