  2. Love it, but sure would be nice to see fewer walks. Right now he's 5.1 IP with 4 BB, 4 hits, and 11 K. I'm sure the Jays love the Ks but he needs to tighten up those walks.
  3. Nobody is more frustrated with his results than he is.
  4. I guess, but 20 million per for a guy who's career season was last year at 3.6 fWAR. Good for him. He's off to a hot start this season too so maybe he does go on a tear and make the Cubs look like geniuses. I dont see more than 20-25 HR out of him though.
  5. I disagree. 110 sucks giant balls whether it's dry heat or not. I will say though having been in New Orleans in late July, where it's 100 degrees with like 80% humidity at the best of times, its indescribable how uncomfortable that is.
  6. Oh sweet baby jesus no.
  7. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/four-hitters-who-should-have-your-early-season-attention/ Chapman headlines the article, he has changed to a toe-tap timing mechanism. Seems to be paying off. "The difference in Chapman’s connection to the ground is drastic. Last year, he hit full front knee extension and immediately flew off the ground as he over-rotated to the pull side (watch his lead foot come disconnected). This year, his toe tap is allowing his stride to stay closed through foot strike and his feet to stay connected to the ground even after full knee extension, suggesting an improvement in rotational direction. If this is what a toe tap does for him, then I’m excited about his potential going forward."
  8. Peyton Williams, Tucker Toman, Adrian Pinto, Manuel Beltre? Kendrys Rojas for a pitcher.
  9. For Chad Dallas, no. Fangraphs has him as interesting but in the "doesn't throw enough strikes" category based on his first full season being pretty rough with a 5.22 BB/9, mainly faulting the slider. If he's cleared up that issue, he could leapfrog a lot of guys in a hurry.

  12. s***** left handed hitter goes to the Yankees and suddenly hits homeruns? Stop me if you've heard this one before....

  14. It is. I would think if MLB was going to expand they would want 2 teams to come in at a time. Given the current 30 clubs, theyd probably want to go to 32 rather than 31, for obvious reasons. Salt Lake City would be a good place for a team to expand to though Oakland being relocated probably is higher on the To-Do list for MLB, but them moving doesnt necessarily mean a change of ownership. They'd likely want to western- located teams too... I'm thinking Vancouver would be great but there's just never any smoke there to indicate anyone is looking to make it happen
  15. no doubt. With any SP injuries too he could step in and get some starts if needed also. 4-5 innings tops most likely, but if that's the case so be it.
  16. I think he would benefit from backing off the slider and change velo a bit. For the slider, get it back down to 86-87. Right now it's averageing 2mph harder than previous years, and getting less vertical drop. Changeup is also about 2 mph harder than his previous years, with less vertical and less horizontal movement. Its averaging 89 mph vs his fastball at 95.
  17. kikuchi didnt really pitch that bad against the angels, he just got Ohtani'd. That pitch Ohtani hit for the HR was inside off the plate and he inside-outed it for a Left Centre HR of like 400+ feet. That's ridiculous. That's like Vlads HR off Cole last year when it was nearly 100mph inside and he took it out.. could throw that exact pitch to those hitters another 20 times and not get those results.
  18. Mountcastle with 9 RBI against the Athletics tonight. Have a game kid!
  19. cant be fatigue, his slider was s*** from the first time he threw it tonight.
  20. No love for Kirk either, dang
  21. Arraez hits for the cycle for Miami!
