I was listening to the Sox radio broadcast yesterday, they went over the numbers on this exact thing. Basically the Sox are less than 20% chase rate against the jays pitching in the series, the average chase rate for other teams facing Jays pitching is upwards of 35%.

Boston's guy is a pretty easy guy to figure out. Fastball, slider, change. fastballs to RHB he favours the sinker. about 50/50 sinker/4seam to lefties slider he throws to RHB at about a 2to 1 rate, changeups he throws to lefties at about 2 to 1

All of his pitches are actually overperforming.... except the slider which is getting destroyed. Still about the same overall whiff rate with it as last season though. -

With bonus on distance per game, it's easy to keep track of, Savant does all the work and it's available within seconds of the HR, we'd really just have to decide what distances and bonus points might apply. i think going back over the week was probably the tedious part there

Perhaps for the 2nd half of the season, what would people think about introducing bonus points for HR's of certain length? Like... anything over 425 feet... bonus point. Anything over 450, 2 bonus points.... 475, 3 bonus points all would be in addition to the current bonuses already there. Not sure if those distances even make sense, but as a general idea... how about it?
