  1. and the Rays next run? Jays, Reds, White Sox, then Houston, then the White Sox again. It's like they decided Tampa gets easy street for the first entire month with a tiny bit of effort sprinkled in.
  2. Getting close to crunch time on getting a GDT up for today. All kinds of bad mojo if one doesnt go up before first pitch. Spanky was going to jump on the grenade, but its Friday so he might be in jail already. Omar was willing to give it a rip also.
  3. April 14 Vladdy - 1 Point - Grant77 Bichette - 1 Point - JaysAllMighty, Jonn Chapman - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - jaysblue, Deadpool Springer - 2 Points Belt - 3 Points - wilko, Dylan Kiermaier - 3 Points - LTBF Jansen - 3 Points Espinal - 6 Points - JohnHavok Off the bench: 10 Points
  4. I think Spanky was going to take a shot at it
  5. At this point, yes, I think it would be surprising if he went bonkers tonight and shut them down. It's no secret his has some filthy pitches, but there's also very clearly something missing from putting it all together that nobody seems to be able to poinpoint.

You left out the part about the NHL playoffs where the refs allow you to basically tackle people without penalty calls. It's like a completely different set of rules in the postseason.
  7. Not for a little bit yet April 11, 2023 Glasnow (oblique) threw a 15-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports. ANALYSIS It's the first time he's thrown off a mound since he suffered a Grade 2 strain of his left oblique back in late February. That was six weeks ago, so it doesn't seem like Glasnow is going to make it back within the initially projected 6-to-8 week timetable. The talented right-hander is seemingly doing well in his recovery, though, and just needs to rebuild stamina.
  8. That's just it, this is the biggest test of the season so far and we're going into it with 3 big question marks for starters, vs the Rays, who never has question marks for starters. Can't wait to see what Cy Young candidate they bring up to replace Springs. Taj Bradley was ready to go for Eflin, so I wonder who's next?
  9. Yeah, if they do bring him up for 2b it would definitely be a stop/gap non long term thing. His current defensive skillset points to 3b or the OF (going by scouting reports of course)
  10. Barger's best defensive tool is his arm, I dont think there's any plans to make him a 2b. Most of the reports I've read suggest he's more than capable of sticking at 3b, but SS is probably not the right fit. OF is also a possibility given how the Jays love having versatility these days.

Pittsburgh just fired pretty much everyone except the zamboni driver. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/penguins-fire-president-of-hockey-operations-brian-burke-gm-ron-hextall-1.1945796 The Pittsburgh Penguins fired general manager Ron Hextall, director of hockey operations Brian Burke and assistant general manager Chris Pryor on Friday after the club failed to reach the playoffs for the first time in 17 years. President, GM and Assistant GM... buh bye!
  12. Against a 13-0 team with Berrios on the mound... i would have thoguht they'd be even higher.
  13. That's beneath you. Hang your head in shame sir.
  14. I’m out for the GDT today with the loss yesterday, who’s gonna be brave enough to start it against the Rays?
  15. Probably would have seen it if Merrifield got on
  16. I mean….what can you say about this ump. So so bad
  17. These balls have to be juiced, he barely got any of that ball and it nearly went out to Cf. 97.9 EV should not be a 400 foot fly out
  18. Richards in, white flag up. But my god that change is filthy as f*** when it’s on.
  19. Yeah it’s weird, his fastball was basically perfect and they weren’t even offering at it. Most of his sliders were fine, both bad ones got pounded
  20. Both his s*** sliders got hammered this inning…why not just stay on the outer half with the fastball he’s been painting with?
