  1. I would buy this argument, except he sucked from the first pitch of the game, and then reigned it in later on, deeper in the game when the fatness/conditioning would in theory be making it worse. Warm up pitches wouldnt be a factor since you get the same # of warmup pitches before every inning. I don't know the answer, but I don't think the above is it either. 1st inning he was losing nearly every pitch up and arm side early on, that strikes me as being mechanic related.
  2. Seems to be he is asserting that Manoah’s stuff is just worse across the board…but offering no explanation. But doesn’t think it’s a failure to execute. Not much of an analysis. The “why” this what is needed to be fixed, anyone with functional eyes can see the stuff is not as good.
  3. Nah, nothing in his current output suggests there’s an arm or elbow issue to me. He has just lost release point consistency. He could definitely go on the IL with “arm fatigue” or some other phantom ******** to try and get straight
  4. Sem Robberse also off to a great start in AA 16K over his first 2 starts…9.2 IP.
  5. Still a series win, so no big deal. Just keep winning series and we’ll be right there for the division lead at the end
  6. Yep, ump said to clean the rosin off before he came out next inning, he didn’t. That’s basically the entire issue. Baldelli wanted to know why there was no repercussions for not doing what he was told to do. I see his point.
  7. Settings, edit ignore list, type in the name, save. Bliss
  8. He just made the 12th spot on my ignore list. I can tell you how to add him to yours if you want
  9. 1st inning summary from Manoah. Change was crap. Sinker was the best zone rate 4 seam had the best whiff rate but low zone rate. Slider was about what it should be
  10. As long as the pitcher starts his motion, that’s what counts, not when the ball comes out of the hand
  11. There’s definitely a mechanical issue here that he has to figure out. He’s up and away with EVERYTHING
  12. Manoah is broken, something is very wrong mechanically
  13. And some people hate Rush and find them terrible. Scotch is wonderful. But, like women, needs to be 18 years or older
  14. 15. And essentially meaningless. Those spin rate reductions are completely within normal variances.
  16. Yep. Fangraphs report: Age 23.7 Height 6′ 0″ Weight 190 Bat / Thr R / R FV 35+ Tool Grades (Present/Future) Fastball Slider Command Sits/Tops 55/60 55/60 30/35 94-95 / 99 Jennings has an athletic build with a thick lower half, and pitched eight innings of professional ball after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 draft. In that short stint, his two-seamer sat 94-95 mph and touched 96, which was down a tick from the velocity he was pumping that year as a senior at Louisiana Tech, where he touched 99. The velo dip may just be because those minor league innings were coming after he’d already racked up 98 frames in college. His delivery’s pace is deceptive, and his mid-80s slider flashes plus. His command is inconsistent, and he sometimes misses by a mile; his 13 HBP as a senior was among the highest marks in his conference, and more than any other college pitcher selected in the first four rounds. Still, with some refinement, he is a solid relief prospect.
  17. The real story is that German was told to wipe the excess rosin off his hands after the end of the 3rd inning and when he came back out for the 4th it was still there. It wasn’t an illegal spider tack or other sticky stuff issue. As for why he was allowed to keep pitching rather than be thrown out, that’s why Baldelli got ejected.
  18. Which one was Bauer?

    NHL Thread

Even if the Leafs get through round 1, which they should, they get Boston in round 2. That’s rough
  20. It’s dynamite commentary like that that keeps him employed.
  21. They knew it was coming so they walked him…such respect
  22. Jansen gonna launch one out, don’t worry
  23. My only thing is I don’t like it when it seems like they decide ahead of time…I’m just not swinging at the first pitch no matter what. That drives me crazy.
