  1. Lol, why would I block you? Discourse is healthy, especially when you have so much to learn about baseball.
  2. If there was ever a game where we need the Angel Hernandez strike zone, it’s today
  3. It’s still not his place unless he knew Wakefield wanted it public. I doubt that was the case. Like I said earlier in the thread I get that Schilling probably had good intentions. Doesn’t mean what he did was okay
  4. Not agitated at all. Pointing out stupidity is a pretty normal thing these days
  5. Ignorance truly is bliss.
  6. Pointing out idiocy is not throwing a tantrum. If you like I can run the very simple math on how often an emergency catcher has been used in MLB in the past 17 seasons (it’s twice) vs catcher injuries over the same time frame to compare which is more likely to happen. Here’s a hint on the catcher injuries, it’s a bit higher than 2. The problem here is you had a meandering thought go through your head, put it out there without really thinking about it, we’re rightfully called out for it being dumb, and now trying to defend it by attacking the person pointing it out instead of just acknowledging that you’re wrong. Take the L, take your teeth out and have a nap
  7. A little too well. But so much of this contact is beyond lucky. Flares and seeing eye grounders….even the hard contact came on pitches that weren’t bad.
  8. Translation “I’m old and I remember something that happened once in 1972 so the Jays would be wise to plan for that…” Just sit down, enjoy the game and stop typing nonsense like it’s some sage advice. It’s not.
  9. Lol wasn’t even a bad pitch in and off the plate and still taken out …2nd Hr of the season for the kid….lol
  10. Parsons can’t throw anything near the plate
  11. Rays aren’t cooperating with the game plan
  12. Lol at dropping the age card. Makes your argument that much more irrelevant, albeit now it’s understandable why you’d be in favour of something so pointless.
  13. No doubt, it’s like the Jays just want to get the game over with as fast as possible, and so do the Rays but their balls just keep going through instead of going to gloves.
  14. Yeah because I guess it makes sense to put one of the most athletic players and best outfield defenders in baseball in a position much more prone to regular AND freak injuries because he might have to play there in 1 universe out of 100,000 in the next few weeks.
  15. yeah, and he’ll still get a ring when the Jays win the Series.
  16. Zero reason to take a risk of an injury with putting Varsho behind the plate.
  17. Richards threw over 30 pitches yesterday, he’s probably not available unless it’s an emergency
  18. He’s a free agent and if they didn’t think he’d be in the pen in the postseason, it makes sense.
  19. None of those make sense.
  20. Probably just a matter of who is available. Not Hicks, Yimi or Richards for certain given their recent workloads. Pearson and Francis for sure. Cabrera, Green, Mayza and Swanson will be available. Romano would be available but I’m sure they’d rather like to avoid that.
  21. Straight up Tampa is a better team, I’d rather play Minnesota. Doesn’t mean they couldn’t beat the Jays, anything could happen but they’re definitely not as good as Tampa.
  22. All playoff teams are finalized, just some seedings to get taken care of tomorrow. Gratz to the Braves, Dodgers, Brewers, Phillies, Diamondbacks, Marlins, Rays, Rangers, Twins, Jays and Astros.
  23. I figured Bo to DH because of him coming off injury most recently, just to get an extra 4 PAs.
