Well, the good news then for him is that his performance in the latter part of the season likely gets him a major league deal somewhere. He can definitely see a path to the majors with Toronto also given Ryu going away and Manoah’s current situation. Francis is on the 40 man already with options, so he wouldn’t be lost and if White impresses in ST, that’s all the reason the Jays would need to keep Tiedemann in AAA to build up the innings even more before possibly debuting later in the season.
He’ll have other suitors for sure though, but I doubt anyone commits to anything beyond the basic 1 year league minimum deal.
