  1. He probably made a positive comment about Bassitt at one point and is desperately searching for an opportunity to bring it up. That's typically what these types of posts from insecure people are about. Your buddy c-poop does the same thing sometimes. The guy is on a historic run, he's getting nothing but respect from everyone.
  2. Moreno is the reason this trade was a significant mistake, not Gurriel. That's been the case from the moment the trade was made. Moreno had significantly more value than Varsho.
  3. The lowest BABIP in the modern era is Bill Plummer at .221. I can believe that Orelvis is an extreme case, but that list is littered with tubby catchers and noodle bat middle infielders. Nobody with his power or speed even has a career BABIP under .250. Let's regress his BABIP to .221 just for an exercise. That's 9 extra hits and let's say 2 are doubles. Now he has a .245/.298/.618 line and is an easy top 50 prospect. I get it's not that simple, but his BABIP will not be that low for his career unless he makes the worst contact hitter in MLB history.
  4. At what point do we consider sending Manoah to AAA to get back on track? I think the discussion needs to be had, as he's killing our bullpen and losing us a lot of games.
  5. I don't think we're at the point where Garcia needs to be removed from the roster, but his command is the worst we have seen in a Blue Jays uniform. He needs to see some mop-up duty until he sorts things out.
  6. Go f*** yourself, Jim. Several posters all called you out for your incorrect statements with well thought out arguments. You had zero people agreeing with you throughout the whole exchange amd wouldn't even address the factual statements that proved you wrong. You're a coward. Put up or shut up. Actually discuss their farm system or f*** off.
  7. Mayza has been great this year. That he has a 1.5 ERA and 1.32 FIP with a BABIP over .400 is awfully impressive.
  8. Not necessarily overrated, just him using obsolete rankings and not being aware of how prospects are performing. I agree it's nice to see we're not the only team with the farm struggling.
  9. Jim's going to be upset that BA agreed with my assessment from a couple of weeks ago.
  10. The Marlins have a new stadium in a good location and 2 World Series wins and no one cares. You are right about Florida, the Rays will never be successful in terms of attendance.

  12. Agreed. We already have the s***** red jerseys anyways, it's pretty much the same thing.
  13. Great velo for a Lefty and a pretty decent spin rate. Lots of good stuff to work with there.
  14. I would note that he has higher fWAR than all of those pitchers except Scherzer over the past 2 full seasons and is 7th in baseball. Everyone has different definitions of elite but the 7th most valuable pitcher in baseball definitely makes it into my elite tier by some stretch of the imagination, to use your wording.
  15. Dylan Cease, 2022 Cy Young Award runner up and bWAR leader is not close to being an elite pitcher. Did I read that correctly?
  16. Go cheer for Boston if you like the pieces of s*** so much. The starting staff has an ERA over 6 and we can't even score enough off of them or our former journeyman AAA pitchers to even win a game. It's f***ing pathetic.
  17. Hopefully those are the two worst performances we have all year. We've complained about Tampa's easy schedule, but here we are losing to one of the worst teams in the league, while they get the job done.
  18. Casas yells out the balls and strikes himself. Interesting.

  20. I'm perplexed by their 'runs' calculation. Any way you slice it, the each of the two calls in the first inning directly resulted in 3 runs. You won't find a more clear example of when umpires decided a game.
  21. Can't blame him. That was probably the worst umpiring we've seen in a Jays game this year.
  22. 4 runs in an inning where you strike out the first 4 batters. That's something.
  23. 4 runs in an inning where you strike out the first 4 batters. That's something.
  24. Taking two of the five above average hitters out of a lineup that leads the league in K% and has a 91 wRC+ bodes well for Bassitt. Seattle hitting .195/.271/.334 for a 74 wRC+ and >30 K% since April 16th.
  25. I would love to hear a Mariners call in the model of that White Sox rant. They have more material to work with than any other fanbase so it could be good.
