    Fun trivia for the upupcoming series: Who is the only player in MLB history to play exclusively for the Yankees and Blue Jays? (minimum 50 games because nobody knows who Ted Wilborn is). Three pitchers have thrown at least 500 innings for each club. Who are they?

    Super disappointing for baseball fans. There's an awful lot of great history in Oakland and things could have worked with a new stadium, much like in Montreal. It's a failure of the league and ownership more than the fanbase. It's also the fault of Oakland's horrible city council, which has caused the loss of all 3 of the city's sports franchises in such a short span. I feel awful for the people who live there.

    I've watched a lot of games this year and that Merrifield review takes the cake as the worst call of the season so far. There's simply no justification for blowing it that badly.

    He also has options I'm pretty sure. We're not at that point yet, but a couple more awful starts would make that worth considering.

This is a place to talk baseball, not get into a pissing match about how smart you think you are. Show some respect for others and most of all, some humility. This forum is a great place to learn if you put your ego aside and listen to others who know more than you do. I know I have learned a ton.

    We might have to consider giving Manoah a stint in the minors if he doesn’t find some success by the end of April and Mitch White is healthy.

I'll stick to the people who share my love of factual and logical discussions and who challenge my assumptions.     That's the expectation. We made the playoffs last year with great hitting and decent pitching, but bad defense let us down at the worst time. We got rid of a couple of very bad defensive players in Gurriel Jr and Hernandez and brought in a couple of elite fielders in Varsho and Kiermaier. We also brought in Bassitt and Swanson to help improve the pitching. Our schedule is also a lot easier this year due to a change that the league made. If you see us winning 2 out 3 or 3 out of 4 in most series then there's a really good chance that we'll make it.
