  1. Hard to say, but I'd guess no for most lists. The last guy I remember hitting like that at 17 was Xander Bogaerts and he didn't get much recognition until after his age 18 season.
  2. I'm quite certain they would play at Turner Field or something after the first game.
  3. If you're getting a middle of the order bat like Jose or Saunders at a reasonable price then I can live with poor D in the corner outfield. Sanchez, Stroman, and Liriano are all 50+ GB% guys and Happ and Estrada haven't obviously suffered from what I've seen.
  4. This is how I use twitter. Read Jays forum General Discussion. It's the ultimate feed.
  5. Extremely impressive for a 17 year old. It's actually rare to see those sort of power numbers at that age.
  6. It's even more likely given we're in September and both teams are contending.
  7. I don't have twitter and just for an example, last night people wanted to know what was going on with Gavin Floyd. I go to twitter, type in Gavin Floyd, and there's a recent update. Pretty easy.
  8. For all of his faults, Cito was one hell of a hitting coach. I don't think either happens without that coaching staff and a fortunate situation.
  9. Ben Nicholson-Smith Ben Nicholson-Smith – Verified account ‏@bnicholsonsmith #BlueJays haven't ruled out possibility that Gavin Floyd (lat) returns per Pete Walker. Doesn't sound like Floyd's close, though. 5:45 pm - 31 Aug 2016
  10. That's correct. Grilli and Biagini have been their best moves and their one big deal (Liriano/Hutch) looks good enough so far. They haven't really done much other than some minor tinkering and that was probably the best thing to do in my opinion. You could argue that not signing EE was a mistake, but the opposite is true for Bautista. If we can continue to build minor league depth and make small, smart additions then I like the team going forward.
  11. I'm not really upset or anything. We just don't PH for Saunders very often, especially with Darwin Barney, and he has a nagging injury. I thought Gibby may have been asked about it in his post game presser.
  12. He doesn't really have a platoon split and it's Darwin Barney so it just seemed odd to me.
  13. Any word on why Saunders left the game? Tight hammy again?
  14. Damned autocorrect lol. I meant Votto.
  15. I was a little surprised to look up the active wOBA leaders and see Bottom at the top ahead of Trout and Miggy.
  16. So you would rather pay him a ton to play badly?
  17. I'm more comfortable with an Adam Lind comparison than a Votto comparison.
  18. We can do both with a 4 man rotation.
  19. Remember Raul Mondesi last year? No need to be on the 25 man.
  20. Joe Carter is a wonderful person too, easily one of the most likeable Jays ever. The HR means a lot, but that's part of it too.
  21. He's never even given up a run, albeit with some luck.
