My prediction is that he is back on the Royals before the season starts.

Opening up a hole at 1B in order to get a mediocre prospect is not very interesting to me. There's nothing wrong with keeping some solid vets around if we have a need and they don't have much trade value. It's important that we bring our top prospects up into a winning environment.

Giving up prospects outside of their top 10 for a pair of solid vets on expiring deals is hardly an all-in move for the Reds.

I like the trade for the Reds. They pay a pretty low price for some useful players to bolster their roster and they can surely flip Puig and Wood for better prospects at the deadline.

Does anyone else find it odd that Javier Vazquez never even made it onto the ballot? I know it's not a big deal, but Jon Garland, Rick Ankiel, Ted Lilly, and Travis Hafner are on there.

That could have been resolved by releasing Tulo earlier or designating a player like Davis, Drake, or Pompey. I don't think the Luciano selection signifies poor asset management in and of itself. Also, if both players are returned then I would argue that it was very good asset management. We'll have to see what happens.

Taking a chance on a pitcher for 50k isn't what I would call piss poor asset management.

Good lord, what a bunch of f***ing retards. His fastball velocity was not 96 in 2016. It was 94.3 and his 4 seam was at 95.4. I called out the false statement for what it was and King doubled down on his lie in an obvious trolling attempt. The numbers are what they are and I was right. Nothing can change that. You know that and are just trying to have some fun at my expense, so good luck with that. In reality, my buddies and I are having some laughs at your stupidity, much like people here do at the expense of reddit. Goodnight.

He lied about Morton's velocity multiple times and was openly trolling (still is). His velocity was as I stated on fangraphs and not 96. Look for yourself before making false statements. Why such obvious trolling is tolerated is baffling.

If we're getting a C prospect for Smoak, I'd rather just keep him until Tellez forces our hand or something else comes up. The last thing we need is a black hole at 1B all year.

This is not correct. He was claimed by the Twins and tendered a contract. Correcting false information is a bannable offense so I apologize in advance.

He averaged 94.3 mph on fastballs according to fangraphs. Besides, it was SEVENTEEN innings. You're obviously being a little sack of s*** troll so do us all a favour and go f*** off.

He threw 94 over 4 starts and 17 innings that season. You would expect a slight bump when he only throws 4.1 innings per game.

There's obviously a lot of different stuff going on with their pitchers. Unless we know what it is and can use the same methods then we're better off staying away.

I want nothing to do with Astros pitchers. Let the Rays have him, we would be far better off with Happ.

I'd give Happ 3/50 if that is what it takes. If we can add him and another starter while retaining Stroman and Sanchez then we may have the makings of a respectable rotation.

What? As I said, much of his time missed is due to a bone bruise and a PED suspension. It's not as if he's got a long list of major injuries. We should give him a chance to start with that good change up and command.
