  1. I like Bass' versatility and would give him 3-4 million. His extremely high groundball rate is a nice weapon in some situations. He's also got good velocity and a track record of health. Kirk in AAA would not surprise me at all. He still has things to learn on the defensive side.
  2. I have doubts that Danny Jansen has already lost his starting catcher's position to Kirk. There are a lot of reasons to believe that he is on the cusp of being a very good starting catcher. I would be interested in bringing back all of Bass, Ray, and Shoemaker on 1 year deals and would not pick up the option on Anderson. The emergence of Tellez makes Shaw expendable in my opinion.
  3. Both of his parents are Canadian and he is a Canadian citizen. He also chooses to play for Team Canada internationally.
  4. I don't think a lot has to be done with the bullpen if we can bring back Bass or someone like him. I believe in Romano as a closer and Dolis is a perfectly adequate alternative option. Romano Dolis Bass Merryweather Hatch Cole Yamaguchi Murphy/Zeuch I'm not a huge believer in Cole or Yamaguchi, but we have no real reason not to give them a shot. I'm more curious to see what they do with the rotation. It's pretty slim pickings after Ryu and Pearson. I would like to see a big addition in the rotation and perhaps a 1 year deal to a guy like Ray to compete with Roark, Stripling , and the youngsters for the final spot.
  5. I've rarely seen BTS say so many stupid things in succession. He must be hitting the sauce.
  6. He seems like a guy that likes to consume.
  7. If we didn't want to face the Rays we wouldn't have used Yamaguchi. That's crystal clear.
  8. He sure looked like it. He was yelling at Pete Walker.
  9. Could Shoemaker pitch in game 3 if by some miracle we make it there?
  10. Tanner Roark gave up 2 runs. The team decided that they wanted to play Tampa and their reliever choices dictated that. They were probably wrong.
  11. I don't have a problem with Robbie Ray pitching. I have a problem with when he pitched. You have to give Shoemaker more rope, especially 2 RHB and a not very good LHB coming up.
  12. We're tied at zero if Gibbons is the manager.
  13. Montoyo should call Shapiro and tell him to go f*** himself if that is the case, but I think he played a part in the decision.
  14. I've defended Montoyo a lot, but this is too much. Pulling Shoemaker is the single stupidest managerial decision I have ever seen. I'm a loss to even start explaining it.
  15. Hey Ray can't throw strikes. Let's let him face a RHB
  16. Shoemaker almost pitches an immaculate inning. Jays management: "I think they are getting to him, better pull him after 30 pitches"
  17. Perhaps one of the dumbest managerial decisions I have ever seen.
  18. This is outrageous. You have to adapt your plan to the flow of the game.
  19. Too bad he didn't get that call inside Could have been an immaculate inning I think.
  20. Usually these bloop hits and check swing bunt singles would score at the Trop. Maybe it's a good sign.
  21. I believe a cobbler repairs Shoes.
  22. Mostly his behaviour in the WBC, but he does seem like a decent guy.
