    JE is very underrated and has been a 6+ WAR guy easy over the last 3 year years whenever he's on the field.. one of best players in bb.. GS has provided around 1.5 WAR in the last 5 seasons combined..his latest attempt being 2011 when he was replacement level in half a season...it's a stupid comparison...prob like saying a 42yo Arod is a poor man's 30yo Cabrera

    Depends who the eye is. Not Joe Schmo.. but personally I would rather go with a good scout's opinion over UZR if it's say a 20 game sample size with no previous data. UZR could tell you an atrocious defender was GG caliber. OR vice versa

    I don't know if Fangraphs always had contract info, I used to always look it up on BR.. and BR has the bio that's kind of cool where it says where they were drafted and awards they got it minors and such.. kind of a neat read.. not saying its better in any way for stats

    Just based on my limited knowledge of the scouting reports as opposed to Yu.. have to say no.. but wouldn't be shocked if we're all backtracking one day.

    Idk what "caught" means.. you mean where people said things about him, that's "caught"?.. or do you mean his obstruction of justice charge that he was convicted for AFTER he was blackballed and shamed from the game (having no chance at HOF)

    See, I didn't read this... As far as Bonds being on record for coming back and accepting a cheap contract just to play. BB is my all-time fav and I was bummed he didn't come back that year. I was always curious to know the inside scoop on the situation. Just heard the collusion rumors. I don't recall hearing about what you're saying though. Let me know if theres a link so I could judge the source. Not saying that sarcastically, I really would like to read about how all that unfolded. Would he be willing to go to a s*** bb city like TOR on the other side of the world (exag obv) for say $5m? I would be curious to know what offers came in. I thought his agent had said there was some talks with various team but not sure..

Rumor was Biogenesis dealth with NBA guys including Miami Heat and look where that investigation went..lol.. they aren't stupid and know not to put the black eye on the sport so these self-righteous bastards (some fans and old school media) don't get to have their uninformed opinions

    Well, if youre going to go the lawyer route.. BJ was also not hung by a noose through speculation. He failed a drug test where the penalties were clearly lined out. If you're going to assume BB did all sorts of stuff.. why not everyone else? where the news didn't break because nobody cared about said players.

    If an hgh/test cocktail meant having a .480 OBP would be possible.. not sure if there would be a single guy in the game clean even today

    I don't need to win Powerball. I would settle for winning a lottery with better odds.. so like if Lawrie becomes a bat that matters, I will be happy about that.

    Yeah you have to take what you can get from DM while you can.. whether he pitches 30 IP of 190 IP, there's a very good chance that on any given day it will be shut down for a year or two..

    It's a good question. There were reports on interest there as it seemed like a good fit in many ways. Who know if it was collusion on the part of mlb or a case where Oak offered a deal BB snorted at. Like say $5m/1 year. Neither would surprise me.

    Well if McGowan makes it to 30 or 40 IP.. I don't know if anyone will know what the f*** if going on at that point.

    Saying Ellsbury = Rasmus is worse than that.. at least you can say Melky was a 4 WAR player before last year and you're hoping he somehow gets back to that (though not likely)
