I’m not going to say you’re wrong about anything but there’s usually 2 sides to a coin. Why would you bench the guy that usurped the franchise QB? He wasn’t having a good game, sure, but he was coming off a nice stretch of games and why not let him try to win the game and finish on a high note? Sudfeld was a joke. It was like giving Rudy some reps.
I don’t think it’s fair to expect players to lose on purpose. As a Coach or the office I can understand playing to lose but I don’t think you can ever expect a player to respect that. It’s a business and a lot of these guys are playing for a job in the league. Teams certainly don’t have loyalty to players (especially in NFL) to the level where a player should toss a game for the team
