Every time Fournette touched the ball, it felt like he got 6 yards. Brady’s completion % should’ve been better minus the drops and on a couple occasions he just missed an open guy. But they still moved the ball very well and that showed with his 380 yards or whatever. Not saying WAS D was absolute trash but they needed to play a lot better than that to win. It was closer than expected because Heinicke had a game nobody could’ve predicted

Also the D really wasn’t there. Bucs had 500+ yards. That doesn’t include a half dozen drops. What game did you watch? Chase Young in particular was shut down. I don’t think bulletin board smack talk is what the media makes it out to be but I do think guys are going to pay more attention to their matchup/assignments against him, so that was dumb on his part

Idk I think it’s kinda cool to see a guy get a job like that. He’s obviously probably worked his tail off. Most people like the underdog story

They lost 2 of 3 coming in and backed in with a fugly win against the Eagles that wasn’t befitting on an NFL game. ... hell of an effort from the QB though. He’s a FA so that honestly probably got him a job next year somewhere. I did see he’s an unabashed Trump supporter but hopefully that’s a little less of a thing I’m a few months. He should prob scrub his social media

Has there ever been a worse QB to start a playoff game than Taylor Heinicke? He was recently a BACKUP QB in the XFL Should be a fun watch though. Either he pulls a Cinderella story or he’s just awful to the point it’a humorous

I was just playing devils advocate. I can see both sides. In 4 years if Tatis is a super star, with FA inflation it’d prob be 10/400 contract he’s looking at. There’s some value in only having to give him 7yrs at that point. But I would prob wait..

I may have misspoke. I’m saying they’re paying him like $115m the next 4 years... so if he would’ve made $50-60?.. they’re overpaying by $50m+? So if you add $50 mill on the 7/203- that’s a really good deal for FA Tatis

Basically 7 FA years at 7/203. And he’ll still be young enough where there’s hopefully not any dead money last couple years. For that privilege you’re paying maybe $50m+ more than arb process? So prob well worth it if he’s legit superstar
