  1. Hmm.. forgot about that. Saw the 60 games and assumed Low A short season
  2. His first year in 2021 at 22yo he doesn’t really make any impression in short season ball as a late 12th round pick, hitting .210. Off season must not have been impressive with the org because he’s a little better at 23yo in short season ball, but not enough where they promote him to full season High A. So at 24yo and you haven’t even played High A, I feel some might see that as your window closing, especially as a 12th rounder. I’m mostly being playful and of course by no means as I saying any of that should count as evidence, but it’s a real world predicament for some you can kind of understand.
  3. Meh. They probably have contacts for dudes that don’t work out but have an education. There’s probably some companies that “play ball” like that. I’m dropping dad level puns now
  4. I’m not judging if he did, as I’d be doing that. Close to your dream and about to come up short and go start somewhere as a desk jockey for $70k. Give me the juice. “I’ll swallow all steroids”, as the illustrious Ryan Garcia said recently
  5. I’d be selling high. Could be some good content for “Fantasy Corner with ConnorP”
  6. His stats page tells the tale of a 24yo that had a moment of clarity in their life and said to themselves: “I’m not going to make it as an mlb player, nothing to lose here, may as well start talking performance enhancers pretty heavy and see if it makes me better”
  7. I was actually being serious. Think I’ll have my own thread and talk to myself and just look back at my hot tips
  8. You are absolutely right. The place was electric with Jays fans and even though they lost,it was a very good game. Typical Jays offence, but BEST of all, my granddaughter caught a foulball off vladdy, my grandsons favourite. The whole row behind us was very large young men and in the midst of them she stuck up her hand and caught it. It was honestly amazing and my grandson was so excited, words cant describe. She gave the ball to Elliott. It was so special he or she will never forget it. And now he has a ball hit by Vladdy. And that is why I love baseball. Hopefully they’re not at that inquisitive age where they’re wondering how come the Bluejays can’t get hit very well
  9. Pssh… week documented I left some future powerhouses. I just came to realize though, I’ve become a bit obsessed with rebuilds. In my new league everyone is fair game and I just dropped 4 ok prospects for super high ceiling guys in 2025 draft.
  10. They either have to get farther back or fire the GM. Otherwise potential moves are tainted by what’s best for the team, vs best for your job.
  11. Man, Julio can’t get it turned away. I won’t say I saw it coming but wished it bc of Jim and here we are. Also Wander. I’m glad the universe isn’t a Jim fan.
  12. Yeah, I liked him coming up, but he wore on me. Baseball of course is streaks, good and bad, but there’s extreme split players that just seem to do it consistently. Be amazing for a small stretch and then terrible for a much longer stretch. That’s just him. Then toss in the injuries. Just not a fan
  13. That’s what they got him for. Jays may only score one run and lose this game, but web gem clips for days
  14. Dynasty Sports Empire, mate. Need High T levels, or at least normal, to field a team. And some cash
  15. Yeah, I was claiming found gold here, as I’ve done many times before. This was more of a redraft pickup scenario.
  16. Colt Keith starting to heat up. Guy that’s probably not on the radar for many. I’m considering having my own “Connorps Fantasy Baseball Corner” thread in OT. Any objections?
  17. Actually worse would be a White Sox fan. Like 3+ years ago (or longer idk) they were on the upswing. New playoff team just getting started. Built for long term success. Boom.
  18. I just felt like being a dick, actually. Been gone a week, wanted to go to the on deck circle and take a couple practice swings
  19. If only they could play baseball in a giant vacuum, you’d be on to something
  20. I got Hunter Brown for Framber. Dude has been best pitcher in baseball since the ink dried
  21. The hope was Babe was something too. Looking like not
  22. It’s like you threw up the Bat signal here. You guys likely remember my days as perhaps the best drafter in the board fantasy leagues, but now I’ve become a bit of a mlb draft connoisseur, if you will.. 2024 is up next and there happens to a great target that will be there at 20. A franchise player albeit with some risk. Iowa RHP Brody Brecht. Yes, I was able to add him to my new team, and yes, you have it here first he would become the Jays answer to Gausman for the long term. No need to pay attention here, as this will one day be bumped when appropriate.
  23. He’d probably have a thing or two to say about Laila’s (otherwise now known as “Man of 1000 bans”) lame moderating and maybe he will one day, you never know.
  24. I have it on good authority that guy hates Spanky, Laila, and Jim. He has my vote.
  25. Bro. He’s almost 28 and career ERA and matching FIP of 5.00. Never had a single meaningful stretch of time in any season. He’s objectively flopped. You’re being like the little league dad with the kid that bats last and sucks and trying to be positive about it. Maybe point out a couple stolen bases that got past the catcher
