I didn’t realize Norby was up. Don’t have him in my league obviously. He’s an interesting prospect. I wonder if good prospects are at a disadvantage in their initial run, over say Spencer Hogwarts. Like nobody gives a s*** about this Hogwarts guy other than his name sounds like Harry Potter. Throw him some fastballs, move through the order. Vs teams planning on the more elite Top 25-50 guys right away.

Yeah, but while I agree you’re not going to blame grown man pro athlete problems on coaches, there’s still accountability. They should all be canned. Like with hitting, it literally can’t get worse. Even if there’s only a 10% chance it may make a positive difference, it’s time to take it. If the hitting coaches did have some quality tips, who the hell wants to listen to them at this point?? Better to work out with a private trainer

It’s impossible to quantify the impact of a couple strong bats. You go down a never ending rabbit hole of when the hits come, this pitcher throws this pitch instead of that pitch due to the situation, this pitcher gets pulled for this pitcher, etc. Also, as you’re dealing with humans, how winning 3 or 4 games instead of losing them in a short period, may change approach. If could have also very little to no impact. So admittedly, the best thing is the nerd model and just use whatever incremental value it says. But certainly isn’t the be all tell all.

Blaze Jordan a nice sleeper prospect too. Needs to tap into the raw power more. Less than 10% K rate in AA at 21 though. I made a point to draft him in fantasy leagues just bc I saw him at Vlads HR Derby in Cleveland. HS HR Derby, I mean Three legit + bats from them though knocking on the door.
