    It’s Mitch White in this scenario. They aren’t just going to DFA him so he’s either the long man or in the rotation. If he’s in the rotation he’s not getting punted after two bad starts.

    Bullpen is getting pretty bloated because Mitch White is definitely on the opening day roster. Adding this guy would effectively give them two long men which is awkward and I don’t imagine they wouldn’t plan on moving either of them exclusively to single inning work

    It doesn’t bother me that they are attached to a lot of players. Imagine being a Pirates fan - “Pittsburgh linked to Carlos Santana” He’s made some really good FA moves and trades. Ohtani choosing the Dodgers or NYY overpaying for Soto doesn’t really change that I don’t want Bellinger. So far it looks like he’s avoided that land mine contract. I would prefer doing nothing than hamstringing the payroll for five years personally

    Keep Wood and draft Langford. Langford would be my #1 target in first year player drafts IMO Trade from your surplus of OF for pitching. Skenes and Tiedemann are both a tier below those guys

    I think you’re right 1-2 WAR DH is probably worth 12-14M but they all want the QO money I’d give it to JDM or Hoskins but Turner or Joc are like 12M guys
