  1. Lol a lot of guys aren’t gonna know how to handle this news
  2. You’re not wrong. Everyone says well Vlad and Varsho and Kirk and so and so will bounce back… but nobody seems to think that it’s possible other players are worse than last year
  3. Hmmm I guess that sucks for us then
  4. I think safe to say Orelvis is going to get every chance there until he proves he’s inept
  5. The second year is the kicker
  6. Now the fanboys are going to come tell you those projections are light because the Yankees played him in the OF last year and really they should be closer to 0.7 to 0.9
  7. My guess is he is the opening day third baseman and starts 100 games there
  8. Not really, what you’ve just described is the definition of hedging your bets
  9. Elite defender IKF played 140+ games in 2021 and 2022 almost exclusively at SS and amassed 1.6 and 1.5 WAR. Over 500 AB’s each season He’s basically the threshold for the absolute lowest acceptable starter. If everything breaks right he *might* be a 2 WAR player He might be worth 0.5 too. There’s like zero upside
  10. s*** that sucks. Sign in SF and get dealt to Oakland
  11. Baseball is a funny game, they could absolutely be .500 at the deadline. If they are and the Dodgers come knocking about Bo you better listen
  12. You have to think about it if you’re out of it for sure. 1.5 years will net you so much more than one season and you could turn things around pretty quick dealing those guys
  13. Idk maybe Fantrax isn’t updated but BA has rankings
  14. I’m guessing but I’d say they’re the first team in the second worst tier of farm systems, and closer to the worst farm than average There’s just no impact guys to dream on outside of Tiedemann. Arjun probably next in line in terms of ceiling
  15. BA - 24th ESPN- 24th Fangraphs- 23rd You don’t have to agree but the industry views the system as bottom third, and is heavily propped up by Rick T
  16. Are you referring to the prospect list or farm ranks?
  17. Boston has hired Theo Epstein and Kyle Boddy this offseason
  18. Sort of illustrates the current state of the system. Tiedemann clearly better but you could definitely rank Ortiz over Orelvis and Arjun
  19. Oh I don’t think he’d be fifth he’s closer to two than five
  20. Would Joey Ortiz be our like… fourth best prospect? Maybe top 3
  21. A bunch of relievers and second base/corner outfield prospects have brought us to this point
  22. My guess is 19th
  23. Wow that is a list
  24. No kidding, Joey is seeing dollar signs this morning
  25. If he’s healthy he’ll be in the majors this year
