    My argument isn’t even to keep Manoah, it’s that Kim looks like a prime sell high candidate I don’t really like anything about Manoah except the fact that his build looks like he could handle 160 innings a year if he wasn’t a bag of milk

    HS Kim is controlled for one season. He is a slap hitting middle infielder whose value comes from the field. He’s a better version of IKF who they just committed two years to If this magical pitching lab has any credibility it will be able to turn Chubby into at least someone who can not embarrass himself in a big league rotation I think it’s extremely short sighted to make that move. Then people want Cronenworth too?! I’d rather just roll with the status quo than get abused by the Padres

    Agreed 1000%. I thought it was just going to be a DH and that’s it. If they do Cuban and JDM or Hoskins that’ll be okay Sucks that JDM is a pylon but I think he’s the best hitter of the guys available

    Right they spent into the second last year. Are you saying they’re 20M below reaching the 2nd this year? Because I agree with you I don’t see them spending like Cohen or having the financial muscle to take on bad money to add to the roster

    Exactly. It’s not like he is a virgin arm and will only throw 12 innings this year. It’s not hard to envision him following an opener or whatever and he has options which basically nobody on the staff has
