  1. Ya they really are. I think both guys are even better than expected It’s funny, I remember this winter there were reports Skenes fastball was overrated LOL
  2. The Paul Skenes show is a good one. 7 K’s to start the game
  3. I thought the same thing this morning he’s already at 30! That’s wild
  4. Felt like the most appropriate spot to remind people
  5. It’s just semantics Highly improbable = unlikely to happen A 25% playoff chance could be defined as highly improbable, based on interpretation Even more so when you consider they’re running the third worst Pythagorean win/loss record at 16-26 and run differential of -47 Two good weeks could put them in striking distance and two bad weeks could put them in the running for the #1 pick
  6. Tonight’s game is on Apple TV
  7. Who the f*** cares if this current iteration of the Jays sneak into the WC3 to get bent over by whoever again
  8. Harrison Butker is an American hero
  9. I found the having support from GMs league wide bit to be new. Haven’t heard him say that before
  10. Texas and Houston agreed. The wild Wild West
  11. Remember when everyone said Mark didn’t mean waves of good players, he just meant waves of players in general How’s that going?
  12. He also got two good pitchers for Big Rowdy
  13. I’m not going to pretend like I know who would be available for hire or make a good replacement for Atkins but it should be a desirable job Large market Top 10 payroll ability Brand new High Performance site and revamped stadium
  14. Mayday mayday
  15. Ain’t cheatin ain’t tryin
  16. This is the positivity thread after all so kudos to you
  17. Guys only need 43 days of service time to trigger the first pension threshold. Get Spencer his 401k contributions
  18. Yessir I feel the exact same way. Vogelbach isn’t so valuable that you’re worried about losing him and Horwitz isn’t a blue chip 21 year old who you’re worried about controlling for an extra year. Get the kid in the big leagues and start earning some money. I get that some people won’t care about that but in my eyes it’s just doing the dude dirty Riding the bus, eating peanut butter sandwiches and sharing an apartment in Buffalo vs everything that comes with being a big leaguer. Give the man the call
  19. This has been a good game
  20. Might as well
  21. Don’t care at all. If you’re going to dedicate a roster spot to a left handed hitter who can’t play defense I’ll choose the one who has been in your organization for 5 years making sweet f*** all, walking more than striking out over the ST invite guy who is a career journeyman
  22. True that sort of transaction too
  23. If I’m being honest (and I always am) I think it’s slimy to still be rostering this out of org slug in Vogelbach while Horwitz sits in AAA earning $3500 a week with more walks than strikeouts. He’s 26 and on the 40 man roster, and been in the org since 2019. Get the guy up here and let him earn some service time
