    I fully expect this to be a thread in 2016. Guy was elite this year and has basically been relegated to mop up duty for this team. There's a very real argument to be made that he should be our closer, yet he rots away in the BP because of Aaron Sanchez.

    There's no way the Dodgers sell low on Puig because of whatever you want to call his issues. This isn't the Arizona Diamondbacks we're talking about who place value on gritty white guys.

    I posted rarely but lurked the old board as frantzee, and was subsequently labelled as the dog by fatcox. Now I've been here since the inception of this board and today was singlehandedly the best day as a Blue Jays fan I've ever experienced. Being amongst diehards has taught me so much about this game. Cheers to all of you, old and new.

    I could see that. I expect one to be resigned and one to walk. I've always envisioned AA not wanting to take the PR hit of losing JB, but with Shapiro on board now maybe that line of thinking will change.

    Why would they agree to it? I know how 10/5 rights work. They will not agree to a trade before the season. Yes if the team is utter horse s*** they'll both accept a trade to a contender and the Jays will gladly move them, knowing they likely resign one of them with no comp pick attached in 2017.

    I never said that. I said not having them on the team next year is a fireable offense. The only way they aren't here is if their options aren't picked up because they won't be traded. I'd be willing to make my first BJMB wager on this.

    Nobody is really advocating to sign them both to extensions. Bautista will probably get extended, Edwin probably walks.
