  1. Joe Blanton too
  2. Nick Tropeano
  3. Ideally if AA is let go he finds a job in the Rays org.
  4. When I saw him in TO he was taking ground balls at third with Bautista
  5. Those 80 battle tested innings sure paid off.
  6. Yup forgot about him. Will be the obvious 3B back up.
  7. I had the same thought re: Saunders at 1B. Would eliminate Smoak but not sure how passable the D would be. He's athletic enough that it might not be a huge problem for him. Would allow some nice versatility and flexibility keeping Revere around too. C-Martin 1B-Colabello 2B-Travis SS-Tulo 3B-Donaldson LF-Revere/Saunders CF-Pillar RF-Bautista DH-Edwin 2B/SS-Goins OF-Pompey OF-Revere/Saunders C-Thole? Still need someone to back up at third base though.
  8. Yup, would definitely be in on Happ.
  9. Iwakuma would be great but I really think he'll be staying put in Seattle. There is a reason they wouldn't even deal him at the deadline.
  10. Ya he's going to be an interesting guy to watch this offseason in terms of his contract. Heading into his age 35 season and for the last five years prior to this he was a lock for 5+ WAR. I think Zobrist can land a deal around 4/80 with that fourth year being the deciding factor. Lots of teams would be on him at three years, but the fourth probably gets it done.
  11. Trade them both for middling B prospects
  12. I would like to point out that second base isn't the hot corner but other than that good work everyone.
  13. I think you're the one who needs to use your head. The Jays scored the most runs in baseball. This is not debatable. To think that the best offense in the world could be taking pointers from some internet warrior who thought of this overnight is absurd.
  14. And hopefully they had this effect on thousands more!
  15. You were supposed to read that in John Gibbons voice, dammit!
  16. I'm going to have to ask you to calm down.
  17. Well you know, Sanchy, he.. he's been a real good arm for us. One of those guys that can just come in and throw strikes. Of course I'm going to go to him in that situation, he's been getting big outs for us all year.
  18. It's not really a problem rolling out three OBP sluggers in a row 2/3/4. It's actually the farthest thing from a problem. You listened to too much Joe Buck the last week.
  19. Hitting Donaldson 4th isn't a bad idea if you put Bautista at two, Edwin at three. Travis Bautista Edwin Donaldson
  20. But you didn't say that. I assume you're fully on board with shipping out Donaldson, right? This will most likely be a career year for him.
  21. Ugh. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-pirates-plunder-toronto/
  22. There is a third camp that thinks Goins is an acceptable back up MIF. He doesn't have to be something or not. He's an acceptable option to have as your 25th guy to back up both Tulo and Travis. He's a better defender than both Pennington and Barney, and I don't know if either of them can play SS moving forward.
  23. Obviously. Doubt you'd get the same response from A's fans though.
