Yup, thats f***ing disgusting. I guess like BTS said you'd have to be positive he'd decline.

Do we know for sure what the QO will be worth this year? It will be interesting to see what happens with Marco, and if conformation bias clouds AA's decision making on whether or not to qualify him. Buck and Pat have talked a lot about how AA has been trying to get him for a few years. Personally I wouldn't offer him one, but it's close. I'm glad I'm not one having to make that decision.

Why are there so many posters who think Bautista can't transition from RF to 1B?
  4. L54
Yup, we should probably see a payroll bump. Some will think we need to be the Dodgers though.

If I knew I wouldn't be posting here. FA 1= the first FA pitcher signed FA 2= the second FA pitcher signed Obviously it's unlikely they bring in SP1 and SP2 this winter. Edit: Trades are a thing too.

Stroman FA 1 FA 2 Dickey Osuna/Hutch/Sanchez/Hendriks He's absolutely an option, but I'd be pretty disappointed with our offseason if Hendriks was in the opening day rotation.
  7. L54
Certianly not impossible. But that doesn't mean it's likely either.
  8. L54
It's not very fair to compare his ability in the OF to his ability at 1B.
  9. L54
Why wouldn't Bautista be able to play 1B?

This team should not be looking for reclamation projects to eat innings in 2016. This team will be in dire need of quality innings with the departures of Price, Buehrle and Estrada. If they feel the need to give Liam Hendriks a rotation spot then I would fully endorse the trades of both Bautista and Edwin. There are many guys to target on the FA market this offseason. No need to fix something that isn't broke. Hendriks Cecil Lowe Sanchez is the makings of a very sturdy back end. Something this team could utilize as a strength for once heading into the season.

    Math is hard?
  12. L54
Could you imagine this rotation? Stroman Dickey Hendriks Osuna Hutch Good luck not finishing 4th in the AL East with that.
  13. L54
The fact that one will be 21 and one will be 27?
  14. L54
Does anyone really think Bautista or EE would waive their 10/5 rights to be moved? I think both of them would tell Shapiro/AA to kick rocks.
  15. L54
    Easy enough!
  16. L54
Yup, I was. Stopped watching once they brought Tepera in though. f*** that s***. If we were the Atlanta Braves then sure, let's see what we've got. If the Jays are planning on competing next year I don't think you give 150 innings to Liam Hendriks and hope that he's better than the >4.00 SIERA guy he was in the past. I'd much rather turn Osuna into a starter than Hendriks.
  17. L54
Liam Hendriks should not be a starter again. Liam Hendriks thrived out of the bullpen. He is a legitimate back end option for next year's squad.
  18. L54
This. The best team doesn't always win the WS. Most of the time you need multiple cracks at the post season to win.
  19. L54
    1. A couple of starters (not including Osuna moving to the rotation) 2. Bullpen depth 3. Back up catcher Stay healthy again.
  20. L54
My thoughts are with Loup. In the middle of what should be the best time of his career and one of the best experiences of his life, he has to deal with presumably someone close to him dying.

    Thanks tips.

Guys, how can you fire a MOY candidate?!
  23. L54
Many of us have been here dissecting over 100 games a year even when the Jays were s*****. If the people here are so bad you can go here : http://www.forums.mlb.com/discussions/Toronto_Blue_Jays/ml-bluejays?redirCnt=1
  24. L54
Which is probably the most favorable outcome for the Jays.
  25. L54
Yup. Hawkins should be nowhere near the mound today. Need Liam to bridge this to the 7th.
