  1. Not sure about this either. I thought the fifth year brought him to Toronto.
  2. I know you've said that a few times which makes me think someone in the org might feel the same. If that's the case then it's pretty hard to criticize, not that AA would ever come out and say that.
  3. Ya I definitely won't be surprised to see him back there. I don't think it's the right way to approach it either but it's a sticky spot to be honest.
  4. Thankfully the Jays won't have to battle with Jack Z over all of those outfielders.
  5. I'll puke if Sanchez makes a start next year.
  6. Surely I'll catch heat for this but I think the best thing for both the Jays and Osuna is for him to be the long man in 2016. Make 15 or so inevitable starts out of the pen and come back in 2017 with an opportunity to start.
  7. For sure you'd take that from him. I guess if that happens, I'd always have the "what if" taste in my mouth wondering what he could've done as a starter.
  8. Ya they've kind of had their hand forced with this issue. I'm really quite interested to see how this regime handles him.
  9. That's exactly the problem. So they give him 130 innings and then what? Having him start the season as the long man seems like the most logical I guess, be the 6th guy on the depth chart. I can't really envision that happening either since Gibby is gonna want his savezzz in the back end of the BP.
  10. The Osuna situation is such a mess. Even if he successfully transitions to starting what happens if the Jays make the playoffs? He'll surely be approaching whatever limit they impose on him. Put him in the pen? If they put him in the pen this year I think that signals that they're married to it. Then you're basically hoping you can get 6 years of above average BP production out of him before he becomes a FA. If you don't, it's a waste of a a good SP prospect. I know we say this all the time- but here is a guy who's value may never be higher. If they don't think he can start maybe he's best used in a trade.
  11. Obviously Alex isn't irreplaceable. To think he is would be foolish. Do I want him back? Yup. He should be afforded the opportunity to finish what he started. Do I think this franchise would collapse if AA departed? Not at all.
  12. Mis leading thread title
  13. Greenwood is killing it. Well said!
  14. Hey don't you put that s*** on me Sask born and bred.
  15. RIP 2016 Blue Jays
  16. Loooool
  17. Is it not possible to watch the game on mlbtv in Canada?? I'm on my phone but can't get it.
  18. Ya that's a much better way to put it
  19. Id prefer him to publicly announce his expectations that Price will price himself out of their range. Better yet, that giving him nearly a quarter of a billion dollars probably isn't a good idea.
  20. How are we determining that Alex is still an AVG/RBI/HR guy? I think it's safe to say he's become a lot more analytic during his tenure. More importantly, I haven't seen or heard anything that would lead me to believe that AA is someone who is difficult to coexist with ala Mike Scioscia.
  21. In regards to Marco and the QO it'll depend on if he thinks he can turn in another year like this. If he doesn't think he can I think the security of a few years and ~30M or so would be appealing. If he's confident in himself taking the QO is a no brainer- putting himself in this position a year from now having proven himself a second time would make buyers a lot less skeptical.
  22. Thankfully the only decision you get to make is what you're having for dinner.
  23. Joe Blanton would be a great candidate to be the Marco Estrada of 2016 actually.
  24. I don't think the Jays would have to outbid LAD for him.
