  1. Hahaha yup “He’s having a hell of a night! I know you have the biggest strike zone in the league but come on!”
  2. Lmao okay Sick name drop I always hoped to meet someone who knew the Jays dietitian’s email
  3. My point is that this doesn’t have to be some ruling with an iron fist like others equate it to You will know before spring even comes if there is no adherence. Ramifications will have to be a case by case basis
  4. Yes I know you are studying nutrition congratulations. Should’ve just taken the PN course for 1000 bucks
  5. I think the disconnect between sides is that the naysayers are equating this to punishment or authoritarian rule. Like Babcock demanding to see your pics If I was in charge I would: Meet with Player X and all relevant departments (psych, nutrition, S&C, data, physio) Discuss the season at a personal level. Good and bad. Acknowledge that it wasn’t where either party wants to be Give Player X opportunity to disclose any nagging injuries. Address those immediately in the offseason Run relevant baseline data to reference during the offseason Set goals in conjunction with Player X that are both achievable and timely Develop offseason training blocks and dietary guidelines Establish accountability check ins (weekly, biweekly) Doing this with the player gives them a level of buy in because they were a part of the process. Creating accountability check ins allows both parties to be held somewhat responsible with the end result Honestly I would do this with the entire 40 man roster if I was GM. Players who have proven they have a strong system in place don’t necessarily need to use team resources. Players who haven’t met expectations will be given every resource necessary.
  6. agree that some veteran leadership would help reinforce the point. But you also need management on board for accountability and resources
  7. Why would you do that?
  8. I thought it was pretty obvious any sort of body recomp would have to take place over the offseason and not in the next 10 days
  9. Exactly and to be honest an organization is doing a disservice to the team, teammates and the player himself if they’re not demanding excellence in all facets of the game
  10. Must be a fake article
  11. This mouth breather has 10x the amount of time in sports than you. Might even be 100x to be honest For you to sit here and tell me that the Toronto Blue Jays, a professional sports team have no control over the physical conditioning of their players actually just confirms that you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about so I’ll forgive your ignorance
  12. Man that Yankees lineup is brutal. Ours actually looks decent on paper
  13. And therein lies the problem. Inmates running the asylum If you cannot hold each individual to the same standard you will not have the respect of the group. When the core pieces are also the clear corner cutters it spreads like a disease
  14. They all can do it. It’s not even that difficult for them with resources, disposable income, time etc. The question is whether or not they put in the time
  15. Can the hold them accountable if the course of action is not met?
  16. Name one person who says this
  17. I think you’re probably right. They thought well even though he’s fat he’s raking and body shaming is reprehensible behaviour so it’s fine instead of being proactive
  18. What exactly was the plan the last three offseasons I wonder
  19. Hard to know that almost every single regular would be worse offensively than they were last year The offense sucks but nobody was saying that in April
  20. This is awesome thanks for sharing with us! Belt is a good ol boy no doubt
