He's neck and neck with Keuchel now. 16-5, 2.42 ERA, 2.80 FIP, 6.0 fWAR, 5.9 bWAR 17-8, 2.56 ERA, 2.93 FIP, 5.5 fWAR, 6.4 bWAR It's basically tied. Narrative will matter, and Houston has been tumbling so edge goes to Price. Sale and Archer are both dark-horse candidates. Sale's K rate is historic and he could be the fWAR champ. Archer has been dominant from wire to wire and all of his metrics are under 3.00. The voting landscape for these things is evolving, so it's always hard to tell exactly how the voters collectively will value Wins, or WAR. Every start matters. -

500 level around the infield is actually a decent viewing experience. IMO it's better than the back rows of 100 and 200 level OF, and also better then 100 level IF way out in the corner, which just sucks. 500 IF is the place to be in the playoffs, unless you have a lot of money.

According to pitchFX, he's using the 4-seam, 2-seam, and cut fastballs in almost equal proportion (32%, 35%, and 20%). Compare to 62% 4-seamers last year.

When they convert to real grass, the outfield wall is one area that can very easily be upgraded. Right now it is entirely mobile, so that it can be taken down when the stadium converts for football purposes. Obviously that type of wall will no longer be necessary when the conversion doesn't have to happen any more. I agree that a slightly lower wall would be a bit more exciting. Home-run robbery has become a really exciting part of the game. However, I don't think an unsymmetrical outfield wall is needed. If they just make the permanent wall ~1 foot lower (or whatever) and move the fences back a tiny bit so the HR factor in the park doesn't change much, then it would suffice. Making the outfield wall unsymmetrical would change the character of the park quite a bit. When they do the upgrades, aside from going to real grass, the focus is going to be largely on the fan experience. Bigger seats, better seat orientation, etc. (i think).
