  1. I still don't understand why he would accept. Could have explored deals all winter and then got something like this in Feb. He's so talented
  2. What are the biggest within AL East trades in recent memory?
  3. Think about this for a second. Would Kimbrel replace Osuna on the roster? No...
  4. Holy Toledo, that's a really nice trade for San Diego. !!! [Clapping emoji] x 10
  5. Josh Timlin and Jesse Chavez Revere for Tomlin!
  6. What did Wilner do wrong? He didn't @ Pillar. He was responding to fans on Twitter and he was right. KP should know better than to engage things like this on twitter.
  7. Good. Estrada looks spiffy in a vest
  8. "These voters consider several offensive categories in selecting the winners, including batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage, in addition to "coaches' and managers' general impressions of a player's overall offensive value."
  9. Bautista vs Martinez stacks up the same way. Martinez basically only beat Bautista in AVG.
  10. The saber metrics are confused
  11. I was lol'ing at the "with less speed, more contact ability, and less plate discipline" part
  12. It's insane how quickly this Braves FO is trashing that franchise. - Bad Markakis contract - Didn't get enough for Heyward - Didn't get anything good for Upton - Wanted Manny Banuelos for some reason so traded good controllable relief for him (Shreve) - Weird Kimbrel trade, obfuscated by Maybin-Upton contract swap - Wood + Peraza for Olivera and then they move Olivera to LF??? - Probably got schooled in the Johnson for Swisher and Bourn deal, but I'm too lazy to check - This Simmons trade The one good move: Getting Toussaint for free It's like their entire plan is to start over from scorched earth. John Hart and a thousand pitching prospects.
  13. Sean Newcomb is a very good prospect - he's just nowhere near worth five affordable years of Simmons' physical prime. year/age 2016/26 /$6,000,000 2017/27 /$8,000,000 2018/28 /$11,000,000 2019/29 /$13,000,000 2020/30 /$15,000,000 Value comparison with Toronto would be Revere (Aybar) + Pompey (Newcomb) + Angel Perdomo? But Revere has an extra year of control on Aybar and Pompey is arguably worth more than Newcomb.
  14. I think Shields is still a small asset. The term isn't very long and he's extremely durable and reliable. His profile compares well to Mark Buehrle when Toronto traded for him. He also had a career year last season in K rate, which is something.
  15. You saw a very tiny sample from when he clearly wasn't ready for the big leagues. Simmer down, Frenchy.
  16. Why not? Seems reasonable. This is baseball 2015. Chapman might be a boss but he's also an RP making a lot of money for one year.
  17. I dropped him on the 15th amidst minor injury concerns to try and stream an extra Hold from Addison Reed. Benoit ended up getting a hold on the 16th, and then Reed got one on the 18th. So it was a nothing move. BUT I ended up tied in Holds and tied in the matchup, losing the tiebreaker to slivergums. So if I had have waited one day to do the add/drop I would have made the finals. JOAQUÍN!!!!
  18. "he doesn't have any power" - BTS
  19. Off of Felix Hernandez. His swing is geared for line drives, but I think his power will stack up to guys like Victorino, Shannon Stewart, Desmond Jennings, if the rest of his game can let him stick in the big leagues.
  20. Enyol de los Santos and Nelson Ward. Looks like a nice little deal for San Diego.
  21. holy wall of text
