Reliever abuse typically comes from pitching on back to back days, getting hot multiple times in a game, etc. Stuff like that that impedes the body's recovery process after the stress of pitching. So it's not wholly relevant that he's pitched a lot of innings before as a starter, a role in which usage is highly regulated and recovery is scheduled.

Yeah, strictly from pitching 54 more innings with a lower K rate. I think Betances' usage has to raise significant concerns. He's used and abused like essentially no other RP in baseball.

Yes, but that was mostly because of my misperceptions of Eaton. I had him pegged as a guy with zero HR power and marginal SB ability, based on 2014. I didn't expect him to go 14/18 this year. So, talent evaluation cookie for you. I just wrongly thought Eaton sucked.

Back in high school while drunk I let my girlfriend punch me as hard as she could in the face. Pretty stupid, but I didn't even feel it. No marks. Really funny. Couple of weeks later, two friends do the same thing. But this chick was more butch... thick black arm hair and stuff. She knocked him out cold and to add injury to injury he clocked his head on a rock when he fell down. Meathead!

Obviously Fernandez is worth more than Stroman and you kind of have to do it, but it's still not an easy trade. Fernandez is a glass cannon. Prototypical infected Q delivery.

CJ Wilson is on the trade block. It's only an interesting note because with his skill level, age, and $20M contract, he should be worth a little bit less than Dickey. So maybe if he gets dealt you can get a feel for Dickey's trade value.

Guys the delta between Chris Davis and Jason Heyward could be well over $100 million, total contract. Heyward's contract might end up being Chris Davis' contract TIMES TWO, END TO END. A contract centipede, if you will. Ass to mouth contracts. It's silly to say that if they can sign Chris then they should just sign Jay. Just silly.
