  1. Where did the Winter Meetings thread go?
  2. Should have traded Osuna, kept Hendriks.
  3. I think it's a crummy trade for Houston, great one for Philly. Velazquez is probably a back end reliever if they plop him in the pen right now. Likely not quite as good as Giles, but still solid. Fisher is a toolshed with plus raw, plus speed, and some demonstrated OBP skeez. Oberholtzer might not be great but he has 5 years of control left and was solid in 2014. This is like Osuna + Alford + for a closer. C'mon
  4. Apparently the Nats have a deal with Petit.
  5. Well you'd think if Petit and Aoki were shopped the M's would have given up some pittance for Nori, and that didn't happen.
  6. He should probably accept if that's the case
  7. I don't trust you enough to believe this
  8. Shapiro for President! wait...
  9. fairly equivalent talent maybe Goins has more trade value? Harold Reynolds pumped his tires pretty hard in the playoffs, lol. Could be on the move somewhere. I dunno. Whatever.
  10. I do not find it very likely that this Blue Jays regime appreciates the "talents" of Ryan Goins
  11. but why
  12. True. On my ignore list tracker, I'll add a 2nd strike beside his name.
  13. Shapiro says he's getting the calls? Shapiro acting GM confirmed
  14. This is one of those posts that isn't witty or funny and just comes off as offensive. You shouldn't have made this post. It's a bad post. You should feel bad.
  15. why wouldn't they just put Velazquez in the pen and keep the prospects lmao wtf is happening in baseball right now. it's like the entire sport is drunk.
  16. This Searage guy is just getting credit for the work of the analytics group, IMO.
  17. Release the Niese! Pittsburgh is smart. They see the value of Jon.
  18. ffs you live in Toronto, eat better pizza
  19. From King David's? extra tuna...
  20. Happy, casual, and respects personal space
  21. Of course he's more likely to flop than succeed. Still deserves a chance based on the profile. And the "Yankees know best" argument is weak
  22. Goldstein had him 8th, in between Dan Cortes (who?) and Blake Beaven. "The Good: Seager is a sound hitter with a knack for putting the fat part of the ball on the bat. He has above-average bat speed and hand-eye coordination, and he hit .344 in games away from High Desert. He's a heady, instinctual player with nearly average speed who plays a fundamentally sound second base. The Bad: Other than the bat, Seager's tools are a bit short. He has below-average power with little projection, and while he makes all of the plays on balls he gets to, he's not especially rangy at second base. Like most players who put up big numbers in the Cal League, scouts are reticent to put a big number on him until he proves it at a higher level." Sounds a lot like, oh, I dunno, Refsnyder.
