    Big Puma - started transitioning when he was 29 and it took about 3 years. Also, NL so that forces the issue. Walker - actually played 1B early in his career but never touched the position towards the end. Ibanez - look again. Only 144 games at 1B in his entire career. Died a LF/DH/statue. Hanley - a bit early. Swisher - has been a 1B/OF his entire career. 0/5

    It's not as common for guys to change positions in their 30s as you folks seem to think. Old, plodding outfielders generally just turn into statutes in whatever outfield corner they have become accustom to. Find me a list of old outfielders from this millennium who got slow and moved to first base in their 30s

    I would definitely bow out in a contraction scenario. You guys practically begged me to take over this team last year and this season I've forgotten to set my lineups over 50% of the time. Just not in it mentally. If the contraction is 100% happening going forward, I would still manage the team for the rest of the year and unless you guys have any objections, I would probably also field trade offers for the high end players. Basically, trading Crosby would be fun if the contraction is happening.

    The odds are against basically any pitcher breaking into the league, of any size, to have sustained success mostly injury free as a starting pitcher. You have done nothing to show that Stroman faces taller odds because of his shorter stature. Nothing scientific, nothing logical, not even in a common sense sense. Would you even give half a mind to the notion that the only reason to ignore pitchers *slightly taller than Stroman would be to fit your narrative? There would be no discernible functional difference between the heights of Stroman and, say, Eddie Cicotte, or Pedro, or whoever (in terms of effect on their health or whatever).
