  1. - set the dates and deadlines - collect and process cuts - be a general presence - rule or opine on pick legality pursuant to our rules, quickly, if necessary - rule or opine on trade legality pursuant to our rules, quickly, if necessary - monitor expiring clocks when you can - administer any arbitrary punitive punishments deemed necessary for rule breakers - comment on a lot of picks as if your two hours of research somehow made you an expert
  2. Still need one person to step up and administer the draft this year.
  3. Yes, actually. Social media coordinator (intern) for a website with XXXXX visitors per day.
  4. I don't think you're very far off from being decent. Maybe next year if you can solve the 2B/3B/SS puzzle.
  5. It might look meh right now but really, this is the type of trade that smart bullpens are made of.
  6. IIRC they actually did try this, it just didn't work out. I think he might have even played a handful of MiLB games at the position.
  7. Velo and SwStr% have fallen off a cliff this year. Probably not the answer but maybe he's an upgrade on one of the backend guys.
  8. The guy is getting outhit by Aaron Hill. You must be twisting your own nipples about turning down NOMAR MAZARA in LOD
  9. Someone else will have to administer the draft this year - set the date and deadlines and manage the cut lists and whatever other stuff, including arbitrary rulings and gavel bashing. Surely this won't be an issue.
  10. Is that a fantasy skill? If so, then you're right.
  11. Neither I'll have you know that he broke his hand punching a teammate so suck it
  12. Looks like you need a slice of humble pie. Oh look, David Wright has a herniated disk in his neck.
  13. Tough year for me. Looks like I'll barely make it home in time to set my 7pm lineups all summer. This is especially crippling since my #1 strength is roster maintenance and add/drops... it goes without saying that I'm at best a mediocre drafter and trader. The Turkey Bacon Club division is beyond wide open. Can Gryffindor swoop in?
  14. Jon Harris takes two steps forward and then 34 back

What is the read on Toronto's payroll plans for the next two years? DeKobe - will they be dumb and re-sign? Lowry - will a DeKobe contract mean they can't fit Lowry in after 2016/2017? Biyombo - re-sign? Carroll - keep or try to move? Is he moveable? Ross - try to move? or was his contract a precursor to letting DeKobe leave? What is their relation to the cap? How much room is there?
  16. The guy who made mlbfarm is a wiz. A good follow on Twitter. I think mlbam eventually hired him to do advancer statcast stuff.
  17. And then your Greg Holland's arm asplodes or your Steve Cishek forgets how to pitch or your Sean Doolittle's shoulder starts barking and you realize that maybe the undervaluing wasn't exactly "criminal."
  18. Jonathan Harris Born: 10/16/1993 (Age: 22) Bats: Right Throws: Right Height: 6' 4" Weight: 175 Mechanics Clean downhill release, firm delivery, aggressive demeanor; comes from a three-quarters slot Evaluator Grant Jones Report Date 05/18/2016 Affiliate Lansing Lugnuts (Low A, Blue Jays) Dates Seen May 18th 2016 OFP 60 Realistic Mid rotation starter + Pitch Type Present Grade Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report FB 55 60 93-94 95 Four seam will sit at 94, not often going below 93, Command of the pitch is above average. CB 50 60 80-82 12-6 break, hard vertical drop, big swing miss pitch, can break it across planes SL 45 50 87 Sharp break, complements fastball well and stays in the zone until last minute break takes it out CH 35 45 86-88 Fade on the pitch Overall Fastball and curveball will both be future plus pitches, velocity on the fastball is undeniable and the hammer 12-6 will carry him far. Great feel for the slider that compliments his fastball perfectly. If he can turn his change up into a major league average pitch than he will be well on his way to be a number two starter, but will slot into the middle of a rotation even if it sits fringe. Uses his hight to an advantage on the mound throwing downhill.
  19. Last year his BB rate was terrible and hi K rate was also not very good. He was legitimately bad and his results sucked too. This year his results (ERA) were decent through a handful of outings but the K rate was still not there so people weren't buying it. The development here is basically the huge spike in K rate. Well more specifically, K-BB differential or K-BB%.
  20. Harris might have more K's the last two games than Greene has all season, lol.
  21. It's a low minors prospect. Radical development is kind of what you hope for with all of them. But really people were just overreacting to a tiny 2015 sample size. Recency bias (Jenkins and Deck) had a part too.
