  1. And then your Greg Holland's arm asplodes or your Steve Cishek forgets how to pitch or your Sean Doolittle's shoulder starts barking and you realize that maybe the undervaluing wasn't exactly "criminal."
  2. Jonathan Harris Born: 10/16/1993 (Age: 22) Bats: Right Throws: Right Height: 6' 4" Weight: 175 Mechanics Clean downhill release, firm delivery, aggressive demeanor; comes from a three-quarters slot Evaluator Grant Jones Report Date 05/18/2016 Affiliate Lansing Lugnuts (Low A, Blue Jays) Dates Seen May 18th 2016 OFP 60 Realistic Mid rotation starter + Pitch Type Present Grade Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report FB 55 60 93-94 95 Four seam will sit at 94, not often going below 93, Command of the pitch is above average. CB 50 60 80-82 12-6 break, hard vertical drop, big swing miss pitch, can break it across planes SL 45 50 87 Sharp break, complements fastball well and stays in the zone until last minute break takes it out CH 35 45 86-88 Fade on the pitch Overall Fastball and curveball will both be future plus pitches, velocity on the fastball is undeniable and the hammer 12-6 will carry him far. Great feel for the slider that compliments his fastball perfectly. If he can turn his change up into a major league average pitch than he will be well on his way to be a number two starter, but will slot into the middle of a rotation even if it sits fringe. Uses his hight to an advantage on the mound throwing downhill.
  3. Last year his BB rate was terrible and hi K rate was also not very good. He was legitimately bad and his results sucked too. This year his results (ERA) were decent through a handful of outings but the K rate was still not there so people weren't buying it. The development here is basically the huge spike in K rate. Well more specifically, K-BB differential or K-BB%.
  4. Harris might have more K's the last two games than Greene has all season, lol.
  5. It's a low minors prospect. Radical development is kind of what you hope for with all of them. But really people were just overreacting to a tiny 2015 sample size. Recency bias (Jenkins and Deck) had a part too.
  6. Jon Harris 4 IP, 7 K, 0 BB, 0 HR, 0 runs. ERA now down to like 0.01
  7. utterly meaningless in any minor league game a guy would have to have a H+ER tendency for multiple minor league seasons before you should care about it at all
  8. Could trade an arm for an offensive upgrade. Any of Raisel Kuma Pomz Liriano Hendricks Manaea Waino
  9. I only have one picture for everyone in my creepy database
  10. Ok, she's hired. We can pay her zero dollars but it might increase her brand. Surely we could find inspiration from some minor league team or other sports team with similar letters / initials. Initial thought is just angled / hinged letters like San Diego's SD or Los Angeles' LA, except with DDL of course. Has to fit in that little circle Yahoo gives you.
  11. Apparently you can make a "league logo" now on Yahoo. Placeholder logo is TheHurl's beautiful face. Comment to contribute to a straw poll on what the DDL's logo should be.
  12. well they aren't that great Holliday and Beltran can still do stuff but they are so damn old Gordon isn't playing well Nobody wants to acquire Saunders the day before he steps on a sidewalk crack and becomes a paraplegic
  13. Why the f*** would the 34th overall pick, selected by the Detroit f***ing Tigers, automatically be owned in that year's draft? This isn't the LOD. We probably only make like, 85 picks in total each June draft.
  14. Meh. Age, level, position, and K-rate (or likely contact issues, whatever) keep him from being an A prospect to me.
  15. The 2015 draft could be an all-timer. Swanson, Rodgers, and Bregman are all killing it. Tate and Benintendi also look like studs. I personally love Kyle Tucker's swing too.
  16. There's very little correspondence that isn't naturally saved via email. These were just yahoo emails between Boxy and I. Even board PM's can be saved ad infinitum if you get email notifications --> the email shows you the message that you've received in the PM and if they've quoted you in that message, you have both ends of things. Proboards PMs are unlimited. The only league correspondence that disappears forever is Yahoo trade notes that you've sent. The other party would have them in their inbox though.
  17. Are you idiots talking about Alex Rios there? wat
  18. Yeah I did. Was a bit too hasty once I saw the email thread. Got me excited.
  19. Looks like I actually had to drop the hint twice before he clued in. Wow.
  20. I needs a CF(8) Are you looking for picks or prospects for Handsome Jake? Perhaps one of my SPs? Not sure who interests you, if anyone...please don't be too mean =( If you don't see anything you like, np and I'll drop it. ////////// Hmmm. Marisnick for Dahl, maybe? ..... Hint: Add AJ Pollock before someone else does. 27 years old, could go .270/.320; 10HR/20SB. /////////// Sorry for the delay, was trying to get a sense of what kind of return you were looking for. I'm not in a rush to sell low on Dahl and I think he's a superior asset (or will be when all is said and done) Weird though, each guy who's owned Handsome Jake has asked for Dahl in return. //////////// Dahl has more upside but he's also maybe three years out, and beautiful Jacob is a potential 20/20 present big leaguer. So I can see why it's an obvious trade ask - similar dudes and far off upside vs. present day (slightly lower) upside. Any interest in de aza or JBJr? //////////// I really just need a plug for the position. I'm probably better off trading with someone who isn't good at fantasy, lol. /////////// Maybe pick up AJ Pollock? He could end up starting in Arizona, could go 10/20 with a slashline in the .270/.330 range. //////////// Oh, good call. Figured he'd been taken, thanks.
  21. I've given you so many gifts over the years, Boxy, and you're still mean to me. I literally told you to add AJ Pollock as a FA because I felt sorry for you. That literally happened.
  22. Wanna trade me Matt Harvey for some old pitching? hehe
  23. Yeah but it means quite a different thing if you've let a lot of good players get away and your team currently suxxx...
