  1. I don't know if I've ever seen a better player-prospect comp than Juan Uribe - Richard Urena. Important to note that Uribe came up as 6'0", 180 lbs.
  2. Urena actually has a better wRC+ this year than last year when he hit all them dingers. Slight improvements to his K and BB rates. He's either treading water as a prospect, or slowly swimming in the right direction.
  3. I see one big fish, kind of obvious - Freddie Freeman Don't see very many other position player options right now. Toronto has most positions covered with league average or better players so efficient upgrades are not easy to find. Would probably have to be a 1B/DH type to replace Smoak. Danny Valencia? Does Teixeria even project better than Smoak at this point? He'd be free I guess. Yankees would probably pay his whole contract for a C prospect. Steve Pearce is a good one. Get Steve Pearce. Carlos Beltran is a good one. Toronto could look for a rotation upgrade, especially if Sanchez has to transition to the pen later on. Rich Hill is obvious and has been mentioned. Hill might be the only rental SP who would be an obvious talent upgrade on someone in the playoff rotation. Relievers - I actually don't see very many rental veterans. David Hernandez? Brad Ziegler. There's Chapman, but f*** paying the Yankees for him. Tyler Clippard - owed 4M in 2017. I see a lot of guys with a few years of control though. Trevor May, Hector Neris, Cam Bedrosian, Michael Tonkin, Alex Colome, Tyler Thornburg, Jeremy Jeffress, Ian Krol, numerous others.... Need more teams to tumble out of the wild card pictures.
  4. Tellez is the youngest qualified hitter in the Eastern League and he has a .400 wOBA. His peripherals are fantastic. It's time to get really silly about his upside. He's got the body of David Ortiz, so there's that..
  5. Tellez can probably hit lefties just fine, judging from his contact abilities. I wouldn't pay much attention to minor league splits. Rowdy is a hulk who I think has all of the tools for becoming a Freeman/Rizzo quality 1B. I mean obviously if he becomes Adam Lind you take it, but I just think he's a different type of player. He's bigger, more physical, probably 100 times smarter, seems to have better strike zone control, might have more raw than Lind. Lind is just a lazy dunce with a sweet swing.
  6. Well Rowdy is also killing it right now
  7. SRF looking incredible call him up and demote Stroman

Eric Staal for 3/11 seems like a steal. I don't really care how few points he had last year.
  9. Can't believe Toronto got Grilli for free lmao what an amazing trade
  10. The team is 0.5 games back of a WC spot. That's not really "caught between contending" and something else. It's just contending.
  11. He needs to perform thorough analyses of his prospects and choose a couple of the good ones to trade for reliable veterans. Can't leave it all up to developmental chance.
  12. It's really satisfying to follow fringe players for a long time and then actually happen to own them when they break out. Junior Guerra, Drew Pomeranz, and Jon Villar are the reasons that I log into Yahoo every day.
  13. jesse carlssssson
  14. trevor gretzky
  15. Futures Game rosters! World Team highlights: Francisco Rios!!! Tyler O'Neill Josh Naylor Yoan Moncada Francisco Mejia Jorge Mateo Willy Adames Reynaldo Lopez Alex Reyes many more fun! US Highlights: Bickford Fulmer Hader Hoffman Musgrove Bregman Swanson Benintendi Frazier Meadows many more
  16. sucks. he was pitching like a decently effective middle reliever now even more work falls onto the enigmatic JC and DS. at least BC is back soon really want Ben Rowen up
  17. I like how the throw-in reliever in the Reyes-Gordon swap will probably end up being the 2016 MVP from the deal. And possibly even the MVP in general.
  18. Just realized how stacked the Bisons are for the upcoming 2011 season Jesus - #3 prospect Dom Brown - #4 prospect Tony Sanchez - #46 prospect Matt Dominguez - #81 prospect
  19. i don't think i want to live in a world where jonathan scope becomes 20 team league fantasy relevant
  20. Must have been an overnight stat correction in his favour
