  1. Yahoo's calculations must be wrong, disproportionately weighing ratios. Either that or we're all idiots
  2. If Porcello were in the NL he'd arguably project as a K/BB league fantasy Ace. Porcello got really good after years of frustrating mediocrity. I wouldn't sleep on Porcello just because he cost you 500 bucks before. Hendricks has been a stud his entire pro career though.
  3. Kyle Hendricks deserves no criticism. He's a K/BB league Ace or strong SP2 absolutely, forever. Safer than anything. The ENTIRE trade hinges on Puig the great enigma.
  4. That would be a dumb bet. I was thinking The King vs. The Professor
  5. Do we need to do another bet? Lmao
  6. This thread is SILLY now.
  7. Hard to say what I would have done. I would have thought about it for a day and then maybe done it. I think in all likelihood I would have counter-countered by trying to swap Hendricks out for, say, Sean Manaea. Or at the very least tried to keep Paddack if I was giving up Kopech. But there were A LOT of different deals I was willing to do with different combinations of arms, as I told you. Everyone was in play. (For interested readers, the first offer contained both Arrieta and Kopech).
  8. k 450 pro PA in 2017 for action $20 if the gap is >20 points we triple that to $60!!!
  9. This would be relevant if we were trying to figure out who was better at getting extra base hits in the past.
  10. Correa is five months younger! I think Correa has slightly higher ceiling just based on tools. Better Speed and Raw.
  11. They project for basically the same line (.020 OPS points better than Aledmys Diaz). It's a coin flip. I feel like Correa has a bigger ceiling.
  12. tbh I was just doing some B- trolling in your PMs and then surprise you accepted
  13. I knew you'd be on my side with force
  14. love Shane Greene
  15. lol @ brownies The greenie incident may have fundamentally changed you as a poster tbh.
  16. Wanted to make Correa my new avatar to replace Laika but goddamn he is ugly. If someone told me he was a burn victim I would probably believe them.
  17. I tried to search function for this but couldn't find it. Wish I kept a trolling journal.
  18. Always b trolling? true.
  19. MLS should be the CFL of soccer. Should have changed the rules up so it's quirky and fresh. Stop time, video review of fouls, allow line changes to keep the pace at a maximum, bigger nets, smaller goalies, make the field 10 yards shorter and a bit thinner, 5 on 5 sudden death OT, put up boards instead of a chalk line, etc.
  20. lmao @ soccer
  21. EE shed the character issues years ago. No concerns there. The players are still confident in the team. From what I gather though (I know a couple of lower level employees so take this FWIW) some of the players can't help but compare this front office to AA's team. The Shatkins group, to be blunt, is less player friendly. There's a lot of new-age stuff like mental coaches etc. that make certain players roll their eyes. AA had also built a lot of trust that he would do whatever it took to win in any given season and players don't feel the same way about Shapiro and Atkins. I heard that Jose has essentially NO interest in coming back to Toronto largely because of the new culture. You'll notice that Jose's agent is actually reaching out to other teams like Boston and Baltimore - he's desperate to get out of town. Again, take this all FWIW which shouldn't be much. Just rumours.
  22. I have it on good authority that he had issues with both teams. Money talked but who's to say how much it would have talked if he was actually attracted to the culture of the Blue Jays? The culture turned him off so all that was left to consider was the money. I think the bigger issue here is that Stroman is going negative PR on the sly for Toronto. Trade him to Colorado before this gets any worse.
