  1. Their logo is a missed opportunity. Anthropomorphize the f***ing taco!!!
  2. SRF getting back on track so far today: 7 K's and 0 BB through 5 innings against the Hartford Yard Goats. I think I need to start collecting MiLB hats. So many phenomenal mascots.

Montreal absolutely does. Vancouver certainly does. I think Edmonton had one once. Maybe it's an Ontario thing. Has Toronto ever had a hockey riot? Have there been any significant junior hockey riots anywhere in Ontario? The last sports-related riot I can dig up in Ontario isn't even truly sports-related. But it is an awesome piece of Toronto trivia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christie_Pits_riot
  4. 90-95 Good breaking ball They say his fastball gets lots of whiffs. He's 6'4" so it might play up. Manuel said it has a high spin rate Canadian (Markham) 10th rounder in 2014 2015 TJS in March Old for his level right now (blame the TJS though) Should get promoted soon He should be rocketing up everyone's Jays prospect lists. SP potential if the changeup develops at all. Even if he's a two pitch guy, he could be a power reliever. He's in Toronto's top 20 at this point, I think.
  5. Jeimer Candelbro is hitting cleanup in his debut tonight, ahead of Baez, Russell, Contreras. Hmmmm...
  6. And they just got a new FSL team! The Fire Frogs! http://firefrogs.milbstore.com/store/Vendor210/graphics/hdr_florida_logo.png Probably one of my favourite team names. Up there with the Savannah Bananas, Daytona Tortugas, and Beloit Snappers.
  7. ... and they just promoted him to AAA. Skips A+ entirely and only gets 10 AA starts. Must be a dude.
  8. They also had Patrick Weigel skip A+ entirely.
  9. but why
  10. It's only 15 innings. AA is a big jump. He's never had great control. I'm guessing that AA hitters are spitting on a lot of nasty balls that A hitters were whiffing on last year.
  11. Here's a sexy list. Players 19 (or under) with a .900+ OPS in the Midwest league since 2010: Oscar Taveras Mike Trout Wil Myers Javier Baez Miguel Sano (.893) Byron Buxton Corey Seager Carlos Correa (.872 BUT only 18) Eloy Jimenez 2017 so far***: Vlad (1.000+) Bo (1.000+) Carlos Rincon (1.000+ BUT doesn't seem sustainable with 39 K's in 25 games) Brendon Davis (also 39 K's right now)
  12. Nah. I don't want to create a precedent of setting lineups and stuff for owners during periods of neglect. If he doesn't come back around at some point this season then we might have to replace him though...
  13. What's wrong with Diaz? His numbers are fine.
  14. Vlad nukes Eloy at this point. He has him beat at virtually every important factor. I'm not even sure there's a tool that Eloy has him beat in. Raw power? I've seen 80s for Jimenez.
  15. He won't sniff AA but there's a chance he'll make some top 5s anyway. Comparable guys would maybe be Gleyber Torres and Victor Robles.
  16. Goldstein wasn't that great. Parks had the eye.
  17. He has no trade value but he still has a bit of upside. That upside is pretty limited at this point--slightly above avg 2B.
  18. Catchers are so f***ing gross and random.
  19. A replica world series ring though? I doubt it At least they could give the bobblehead to their husband or son - who actually like baseball/sports.
  20. They should know better than to say that women like jewelry. It's 2017! Let's ignore the fact that women do actually like jewelry.
  21. If anybody wants to blow me for literally any player, I'll listen
  22. Always had some raw but last year he had a .272 ISO in AAA.
  23. I still believe that I won't miss what I traded for him
