  1. I think Grant is right. They had to add him to the 40 to protect him from the rule 5. On 40 + not on 25 + at least 20 days in minors = option year used.
  2. Pillar and Kiermaier are good comps. Basically - fringe or lower-end keeper due to CF tag. I think it's a good sell by KK. I did offer pick #39 for him yesterday but today I feel like that's stupid.
  3. Probably just Sanchez/Osuna
  4. f***, maybe he sticks and they don't even burn an option this year.
  5. http://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/story/sports/2017/05/19/anthony-alford-promoted-mlb-blue-jays/332595001/ Seems like it?
  6. Holy f***, that's the best report I've ever seen. 60 hit 60 game power (potential) 65 run 60 defense (CF) 45 arm that's Trout-lite of course, the game power is probably not even a 50 right now
  7. Very excited to see Ross and Kevin in their most emasculated and ultimate virtue-signalling forms
  8. Looking forward to the inevitable pulled calf/hammy injuries in the pointless scrum
  9. You mean - the guys you bet on worked out great that one time in that one league that one year where you won you're getting clowned in the All Star league bro
  10. As in - in the long term you'll use him as a reason to quit the league out of frustration?
  11. Matt Harvey is f***ing AWFUL. And he hasn't even lost that much velo (still sitting 94, touching 97.5). His peers right now are guys like Weaver, Dickey, Koehler, and Arroyo. Projections are already sky-rocketing into the mid 4's for ERA/FIP. Did anyone trade big for him in our leagues in recent history?
  12. Schwarber for Altherr kind of reminds me of Myers for Souza. Bat first 1B/OF and long-time scout darling for an older OF who is a nerd infatuation.
  13. The greatest hitter alive right now
  14. Justin Bour continues to hit in front of Stanton.
  15. Bichette just retweeted a gif of Dickerson hitting two bombs yesterday. Baseball is good.
  16. Bradley Jones Not to mention: Gudino, Maese, Ed Olivares, and Jake Thomas who leads organized baseball in OBP.
  17. Kemp is crushing every pitch and Freeman is homering every game and Buck and Pat are like "these Braves are scrappy!" lol
  18. Pompey finally played today, apparently.
  19. Because he's slow and teams shift! Can't you read, bucko?
  20. If you want to go so deep it hurts on the Zeke pick, it's extra stupid because he could reasonably have been pinch hit for if a LOOGY came in to face him late in the game.
  21. The best tactic for winning BTS, without constructing some complex daily projection algorithm that factors in everything from handedness to weather, is just to pick Trout/Murphy/Altuve/Betts/Miggy (highest projected AVG hitters) every single day--whichever one is facing the best pitching matchup. There's really no argument for straying from that unless, like I said, you have a really complex model with sound assumptions that happens to spit out some still-good-player like, say, Francisco Lindor on some random day when Cleveland is facing Aaron Laffey. It would never make sense to pick Carrera, let alone Pillar.
  22. I wonder if the Mets might have interest.
  23. Their system is so barren - pitching depth is nonexistent even at the upper levels in the form of MiLB veterans. Seems like it would be Rusin, Lyles, or bust.
