  1. Sean Murphy is good, comparable to Danny Jansen in the 2018 waiver draft maybe.
  2. Well Guzman is only interesting because of the last week
  3. Just how we've always done it, not a big deal either way but it's always seemed the most balanced to me otherwise certain owners just get "lucky" by having DL or NA players so they can hoard a couple of extra dudes before the season opens.
  4. Brian Anderson highlights are infuriating. Big dude with 60 raw and a good hit tool, but he has that up-the-middle / other-way approach that killed Brett Lawrie's career.
  5. 11 ISO Horny 12 Seniors Circuit 13 The Beach Cowboys 14 Taijuan On! 15 (insert clever name) 16 The Butt Stallions 17 Ten-Cent Beer Night 18 Twist and Trout 19 London Slayers 20 The Bryce is Right
  6. Nah not in the DDL. Everybody ends the waiver draft with 25 mlb assets
  7. They brought Bud Norris in to punish Stroman for his public comments! Keep an eye on Stroman, Bud. Make sure he does everything "the right way". #sugo
  8. 5 The Bryce is Right 6 Saskatchewan 54's 7 Seniors Circuit 8 Seniors Circuit 9 Abomination
  9. I think I said “retard” and I don’t know, I’d have to check out the civil discourse in the politics thread. I am taking Brian Anderson.
  10. Thanks for taking one (and a number two) for the team, buddy
  11. Just need the Waiver Draft 2019 portion of the spreadsheet updated and then we can begin Gee it was nice of Sal Perez to require TJS the day after our cuts were due
  12. tweet less; post here more
  13. Huh? Why would this be controversial here? Most clear-headed people would actually say that they are doing a pretty damn good job. I mean don't go expressing this opinion on the subway or anything, I guess.
  14. Borucki is going to break a lot of hearts in the next couple years. I think he is a #4/5 at best. It's good that Toronto is not gifting him a 30 start rotation spot.
  15. Why do you believe that? I highly doubt his missing keeper is Tucker Barnhart.
  16. CUTS TONIGHT MAKE YOUR final decisions. Add them in Yahoo or cut them in Yahoo. Announce anything else.
  17. The Bud Norris signing and this Clay Buttholez signing are the kinds of low-risk, moderate reward moves that make a Fangraphs fan boi like me giggle
  18. I read that there are no opt-outs. Just a straight 13 year deal with a full no trade clause. I'm not sure it's worse. I mean he's getting $30 guaranteed for his Pujolsy seasons - that's not bad. I think 13/330 is better than 10/300 for him. 330 > 300 and either way the deal probably extends to or past the end of his useful baseball like (in 98% of the outcomes).
  19. Why are people having knee-jerk reactions to the term? Most people expected a 10 year deal around $330. 13/$330 is a strictly better deal for Philadelphia than 10/$330.
  20. Yahoo roster quirks remaining: Havok only has 19 players Jaysblue has to cut 5 everything else seems done in Yahoo
  21. Sucks for you that the Harper decision has not been made because this depends entirely on that.
  22. How does a trade like this even come about? Who is Justin Anderson?
  23. Tulo is going to get cancer and become a scout?
  24. lol I just watched the video of this home run Tulowitzki screaming "let's goooO!!!" four times after a 300 ft spring training dinger is just too hilarious. He also looks way too thin to last more than a month or two. Maybe it's a slimming effect of the pinstripes.
  25. I was just trying to find some quick decline comparisons for Stanton and was looking at McGwire's page. The steroid era was f***ing bonkers. Of McGwire's last 4 seasons, ages 34-37, his very last 2 were basically half years. He hit 32 and 29 homers in those years, after 70 and 65 the two years prior. So in the twilight of his career Mark McGwire was hitting dingers at roughly a SIXTY-FIVE (65) HOME RUN PER 650 PLATE APPEARANCE PACE!!!!
