  1. Late on basically all of his swings at fastballs today. First game though and the guy has like barely played pro baseball. Meaningless. I thought his body looked good though. Not obviously rigid or too big for the infield. They clearly plan on having him play shortstop this year
  2. I'm sure they'll give him a chance but ideally the team has enough pitching that guys like Murray can be used more optimally. See the Dodgers and how they deploy guys like Stripling. Or they can just do things the old school way and win less games if that's your preference?
  3. Love the idea of Joey Murray as an opener or multi inning reliever. If he came into a game after a groundball/sinker pitcher the hitters would just be f***ed.
  4. Draft room being a bit of a s*** show or nah?
  5. Perused the rosters for potential problems. An illegal roster will prevent you from being able to draft! If there was an issue like an ineligible player on your IL but you had open MLB roster space I just made the fix for you. Commissioners will make certain drops for people during the draft if their roster changes (say a player loses a red flag during the draft) but commissioners will not fix rosters that an owner did not make clean before the draft begins. *You are responsible for your own rosters and my notes below may be incorrect - check yourself* DDL Pre-Draft Roster Check: Greenwood: Clean roster, 6 open MiLB spots + a few open MLB spots Mike's Bikes: Clean roster, 3 open MiLB spots + one open MLB spot Real Baseball Guys: 3 open MiLB spots + one open MLB spot Julio Teheran not eligible for minors and must be promoted or cut Ten Cent Beer Night: 3 open MiLB spots + a few open MLB spots; I moved two non red flag players off your IL! wOBA the Hutt: 2 open MiLB spots; Eric Lauer needs to be promoted or cut (insert clever name): Clean roster, 3 open MiLB spots, one open MLB spot Abom: Clean roster, 3 open MiLB and one open MLB Seniors Circuit: Clean roster, 4 open MiLB and one open MLB Speedy: 7 open MiLB spots; Chatwood needs to come of IL or be cut Five Year Plan: Clean roster, 4 open MiLB and 2 open MLB Burrito Boyz: 3 open MiLB; I moved Burch Smith off your IL 54's: 2 open MiLB spots right now and one open MLB; Pivetta and Richards are both not eligible for the minors anymore and must be promoted or cut Taijuan On!: Clean, 2 open MiLB spots EZe: 2 open MiLB; I moved Diaz and Montas off your IL! True Cards: Clean, five open MiLB 25 year olds welcome: 6 open MiLB; I think you're clean. If Cano being on the IL creates an unexpected problem we can do a commissioner drop for you during the draft No Soup for Yu: 4 open MiLB I think you're clean. If Chapman being on the IL creates an unexpected problem we can do a commissioner drop for you during the draft Beach Cowboys: Clean, 3 open MiLB and one open MLB WAR Pigs: Clean, 2 open MiLB

It's weird how quickly he went from the best D man in the league by far to like, the fortieth best
  7. Uhhhh Shane Bieber vs let's say Torkelson + Austin Martin + Zac Veen. Which side? Assume BBDL stats
  8. Really if they are going to simulcast they should do it the other way. Retire Buck, literally kill Tabler. Have Shulman and Wagner call a radio game and broadcast it over the video feed. Voila.
  9. I'm almost certain it will suck but I'll be happy if im wrong. Calling a game on tv is very different than a radio call. They don't try to describe the game on TV, nor should they. You might even listen to the game on radio for like half an hour now before the score is mentioned - there's no score bug on the radio. I think it will suck and I love Shulman. Ben Wagner was decent though. Wilner sucks ass.
  10. Canada is a country full of cottages, campsites, and commutes. Even in 2020+ so many baseball fans have times when they want to follow a game but all they have access to is radio. Anyone who says this is just part of the changing media landscape is out of touch. For years I could pull up the MLB at bat app on my phone and listen to the ballgame radio feed while I was outside or on the treadmill. Rogers' cheap radio decision will ruin my smartphone app experience! This is just a horrible decision, plain and simple, and I hope they reverse course at least before 2022.
  11. Alright, post a link then
  12. I think I saw that the NBA has to intervene in a plan like this before. Baseball is THE radio sport. This is a travesty.
  13. Sounds like it's for the whole season
  14. Are those slashes supposed to be plusses? So Franco + Julio Rodriguez + Groshans + Gilbert? Seems like a lot but I guess it's fair. Prospects like Groshans and Gilbert really shrink into nothing in comparison to an asset like Tatis. Franco + J.Rod is a huge package but we have seen several slam dunk #1 super prospects flop or fizzle in recent years. Tatis is not Mike Trout though so there is still a lot of risk in doing that deal. There is a realistic chance that Franco is better than Tatis in two years.
  15. I think it depends on the specific part of the facility. Weight room, hydrotherapy rooms, training rooms, classroom, discipline rooms, etc: I see no reason that the organization would not open those up completely to the minor leaguers when the MLB team is not also there. It would be a terrible waste of resources not to. 2,700 square foot Major league clubhouse: that one will probably be MLB players only, year round. MLB dining facility: This exists because the MLB players expect to eat a heck of a lot better than the minor league players. It might just get repurposed into a second general cafeteria when the full MLB team is not there. Like, the team chefs may travel back to Toronto with the team anyway? Barber shop: who knows, maybe that's a little MLB player perk
  16. WTF? that is horseshit. Who the f*** wants to listen to audio from a TV broadcast on the radio? It's not the same thing. I feel sorry for Ben Wagner.
  17. Tommy Pannone is gone so we needed another Tommy at some point.
  18. Cuba is a weird place for pitching. You'll notice that everybody there has a crummy K/BB. It's kind of like MLB way back in the day. The hitters play like batting average is king. I think it's tough to get strikeouts unless you do so wayyy out of the zone. There are hitters there who strikeouts like, five times all season.
  19. If there are clear mistakes in the pick order go ahead and fix them. I don't think anyone really cares about fourth round picks in this draft anyways. Draft picks under Other, turn commissioner mode on
  20. I dunno. Probably not. Gallen's fantasy upside is a big driver there.
  21. You obviously don't believe this if you are shopping him for an injury prone slugger leaving their physical prime soon.
  22. Greene should probably be the 2nd piece.
  23. Depending on roster constraints I'd probably do that trade, taking the Gallen package and Lynch.
