  1. What do you mean? Cimber Hand Soria Richards Berrios Dickerson SIX viable MLB players brought in. They range from minor upgrades to significant improvements. There really aren't any holes left on the roster. You could quibble about Biggio, or outfield defense, or a lockdown reliever, but the front office really did an admirable job improving the squad. A lot of work and a lot of trades.
  2. The thing about prospects is you get new ones every summer. They are like vegetables.
  3. Spencer Howard ++ for Gibson and Kennedy is insane. PCA for Baez is stupid. Martin + SWR for Berrios is bonkers. Madrigal + Hueueeueueueuer for Kimbrel is batshit. All of a sudden MLB organizations don't want to covet prospects. This is a wild and historic about-face. Two or three years ago you could not have pried a player like Martin or Madrigal or PCA or Howard out of a GM's hands if you had a gun to his head.
  4. If the Colorado Rockies choose to trade nobody in THIS TRADE MARKET it will be one of the stupidest organizational decisions ever. One phone call to Toronto and they could have had Martin, SWR, and a nice third piece for German Marquez.
  5. Yeah. This is insane. Baseball deadlines are usually so f***ing boring. You might get one big deal. Manny Machado got traded for f***ing Yusniel Diaz. lmao.
  6. Yeah the Rangers f***ed up. Ouchie. At least Texas sucks.
  7. Damn, Madrigal and Codi Heuer for Kimbrel. That's worse than Martin and SWR for Berrios. I don't remember such a seller's market at a deadline.
  8. what a rollercoaster of a thread / Jays career
  9. There's a flimsy rumour that Chicago traded Garrett Crochet for him. If true, lmao.
  10. It doesn't have to be a catastrophic drop in perception but look: The Mets were comfortable letting SWR go and Martin was passed over in a somewhat surprising fashion by like three MLB teams in the draft. All it takes is for the general consensus on them to be down, from the GMs that are selling right now. Maybe that means Martin is more of a 50-100 level guy and SWR is a backend top 100 guy. Martin is hitting for ZERO power and SWR is walking a ton of guys without a fantastic FB; those are some pretty big concerns.
  11. Again, obviously the Blue Jays don't really think Martin and SWR are both top 50 prospects. They probably have some doubts after watching them all year.
  12. Apologetics time. Martin and SWR are both putting up bad numbers relative to their prospect status. The assumption we might have to make is that Toronto thinks they aren't as good as the public industry has them ranked. Maybe Martin's statcast type data is ugly.
  13. Hahaha uhhhh I guess Austin Martin could be mediocre but shouldn't he alone be enough for Berrios?
  14. They have done the worst possible think at most crucial points in time for years now. How to sewer your franchise 101.
  15. Perhaps Aldo Ramirez is legit and the public prospecting industry just doesn't completely recognize it yet
  16. Ridiculously good vs his signing bonus but he probably needs to continue to add velocity to profile as a possibly decent MLB SP
  17. Schwarber >> Rizzo and the Yankees paid way more for Rizzo

  19. I googled Ryan Kalish to see how long ago his rookie season was and it blew my mind too
  20. We stole him from the Red Sox forum way back. RyanKalishFan was the first name lmao

Is this actually a reach or did people just get too obsessed with the idea of there being a clear top 4?
