    Not comparable. Without looking, I'm guessing that Yankees team projected poorly and they were full of decrepit old farts. They probably had to retool or risk multiple years of mediocrity. Not the case with Toronto. I mean it depends how they play from here to the deadline. If they tank hard then they should sell, sure.

    Watching the Adams - McGuire tandem for a while shockingly makes one miss Danny Jansen and his adequate mitt / game calling. Mostly the game calling and rapport with the pitchers.

    The obsession with Charlie Montoyo's emotions is a bit much. As much as you guys want to see him red faced and screaming, him getting angry probably doesn't help the team win. It's kind of an infantile form of leadership anyway. You could make a contrary argument that would be just as reasonable, actually. How about having someone in charge who doesn't get rattled by bad luck and the stuff he cannot control? That's a good thing. There's merit to Charlie's approach.

    Grichuk f***ing sucks. I mean, he's a league average player at best and he just is what he is. It was and is so cringey to see Buck and Tabby lick his glutes every time he awkwardly / accidentally punches a ball 80 mph to right field, beating the shift for a single. Yeah right, he's worked so hard and changed his whole approach!

    When Springer comes back the offense is going to be insane. It will win them so many games on its own. Stripling will be 10-0 in the second half

    Bullpen reinforcements ARE on the way. Just a matter of time. Hatch and Murphy are currently rehabbing Bergen, Borucki, Cole, and Merryweather are on the IL but not out for the season (yet...) Pearson may become a pen option at some point But don't expect some random AAA guys like Hobie Harris or Bryan Baker to come up and make any difference.

    I can see this argument and at first my thoughts were that the obvious solution was to have one MLB sanctioned foreign substance that is allowed. Players can use MLB brand sunscreen but nothing else. But on the enforcement side something like that may not be workable. Cheaters would probably just formulate Sun-Tack, the spider tack that looks and smells like sunscreen! Then umps and officials can't really enforce the rule without, like, lab testing whatever the icky stuff is. I wouldn't be shocked to see something get approved in the next CBA though. Maybe it's a tube of MLB brand sun screen that is sealed at the start of the game and never leaves the playing field - sits there beside the rosin bag.
