    Toronto and Vancouver and for many Montreal can compete with the USA locations for non Canadian talent retention but the other Canadian teams have no chance and the political climate is making it worse and worse.

    Baseball is a high variance sport, it really doesn't make sense to just look at first round picks. I mean it's fun and interesting but not a fair measurement of anything. Gotta look at the whole picture. Draft plus international plus acquiring and developing.
