  1. It's really not a good lineup without Barger and Springer and Kirk Pretty groooooooossssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  2. Gotta stick with my boy Nate Lukes
  3. Nathan Lukes is leading off LMAO what the fruck
  4. Some more fodder for the crowd that wants Jeff Hoffman to be the SETUP MAN and Gus Varland's brother to be the CLOSER. Fangraphs shows you various Leverage Index stats under the Win Probability tab. gmLI is the average Leverage Index when the pitcher entered the game. Varland is #1 on the team now. So, considering the season as a whole, Varland has been used at higher leverage than Hoffman. Of course that is tainted by last night, where Varland came in during a MAX LEVERAGE situation that Hoffman made. But still. # Name Team WPA -WPA +WPA RE24 REW pLI inLI gmLI exLI Pulls WPA/LI Clutch SD MD 1 Louis Varland TOR 0.53 -0.87 1.40 5.27 0.55 1.69 1.50 1.98 1.29 8 0.34 -0.02 4 1 2 Jeff Hoffman TOR -1.02 -2.29 1.27 -1.95 -0.20 2.31 1.73 1.73 4.52 2 -0.25 -0.19 2 3 3 Mason Fluharty TOR 0.21 -0.42 0.64 2.62 0.27 1.51 0.98 1.41 1.57 8 0.13 0.01 2 1 4 Braydon Fisher TOR 0.26 -0.32 0.59 2.99 0.31 0.66 0.76 1.23 0.77 5 0.03 0.36 4 2 5 Tyler Rogers TOR 0.47 -0.37 0.85 3.84 0.40 1.42 1.24 1.17 2.09 8 0.40 -0.06 3 0 6 Spencer Miles TOR 0.24 -0.29 0.52 2.48 0.26 0.66 0.61 0.95 0.27 2 0.25 0.11 1 1 7 Tommy Nance TOR -0.27 -0.53 0.26 -4.39 -0.46 0.80 0.61 0.71 1.00 7 -0.14 -0.20 0 1 And yes, exLI is the average LI when exiting the game and yes Hoffman's 4.52 is hilarious right now
  5. I just have this GUT FEELING that the LENYN SOSA BLOCKBUSTER is going to be the TURNING POINT of this entire 2026 CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON 💪
  6. I hate it for the players Virtually every player who reaches free agency at 27 or so gets hella paid these days. Even if it's not Vlad/Soto level of mega contracts, it's high AAV crap like Bo got or worthwhile short term money with options like Bellinger Guy like McGonigle already has 3/4 WAR projections and is 21 years old. I guess he is insuring against catastrophic injury more than anything but selling those three future free agent years for like 60 cents on the dollar to do so is kinda GROSS. Limiting his total career earning potential quite a bit. Even a guy becoming a young free agent with big flaws, like Gleyber Torres, is getting $15 to $22M annually these days. Yes it gives him a crack at full free agency at 30 years old but THAT IS WHEN TEAMS START TO HATE YOU. The calculations change wildly if he only sells one free agent year. I would get that.
  7. JoJo parker has a 165 wRC+ in a tiny 41 game sample size in the FSL That is the best qualified mark for any teenager in the league. Blaine Bullard in the same league has 3 homers already and a 137 wRC+. One of the homers was 423 feet. Preseason scouting reports only gave him 40 grade raw power.
  8. Lenyn Sosa gets some early flowers for having a mature debut at bat, and a huge hit.
  9. I don't really care who the CLOSER is but I do think Hoffman has a good personality for it. Short memory. Irrational arrogance.
  10. In between the leadoff walk (bad) and the final batter walk (out of gas) he got two outs, two groundballs that found holes, and Schneider made him walk someone. A lot of baseball randomness in there. This isn't the same guy as last year, serving up meatballs. Poor guy has a .526 BABIP against so far lmao
  11. Reminder that by AAV it's not Bo vs Okamoto It's Bo vs Okamoto + Dylan Cease Lmfao
  12. We are so back Hoffman has been great this season, you're all clowns. He didn't even look that bad for most of this appearance - things just snowballed. Okamoto gets like two more months before changing his position is even a discussion. If they had an elite bench infielder then late inning defensive subbing would make sense, but they don't. Schneider at 2B is a similar liability maybe.
  13. Yeah at least Davis might walk and not STRIKEOUT ON THREE PITCHES WHILE SWINGING AT A BALL AT HIS EYES
  14. Yeah but if you take your reflection and flip it around it does look like a certain bird mascot
  15. Jeremiah Jackson in Baltimore is a good example of why you pick up someone like Lenyn Sosa up, even if he is flawed Jackson has 1.2 fWAR in 62 career games. That's as much as Jackson Holliday in his 209 games, and perhaps enough production to take Coby Mayo's at bats when Holliday comes back. It is easy to focus on arm, speed, defense, and bad K-BB skills but important to still recognize that not all tools are created equal. A cromulent combination of hit + power can carry an entire player profile, even without extreme power or perternatural hitting ability. Like, 50 hit 55 power can be good enough sometimes.
  16. wow Addison Barger is s***** a hacker with two bum ankles wow George Springer is 42 wow Lauer Corbin Scherzer Berrios should just retire because of mono flu sucky oldness wow Nathan Lukes is not even AAA quality but he might be a good 14U coach in a few years wow Kaz Okamoto seems like a total bust, fringe D and swiss cheese swing wow wow Wow WOW
  17. Example... I asked it to make me a summary visual but it made this html thing instead. Pretty cool. Just need to whip it a few more times and it should be perfect These are my fantasy baseball prospects. Hitters: Roldy Brito, Billy Carlson, Roc Riggio, Aroon Escobar, Cooper Ingle, Seaver King, Alex Freeland, Aiva Arquette, Thayron Liranzo, Rainiel Rodriguez, Juan Brito (Cleveland), Cole Young, Johnny Level, Hayden Alvarez. Pitchers: Didier Fuentes, Nestor German, Johnny King, Owen Murphy, Christian Oppor, Blade Tidwell, Kendry Rojas, Thomas Harrington, Owen Wild, AJ Russell, Jaden Hamm, Jurrangelo Cjintje, Brandon Young, Luke Sinnard, David Shields, Connor Prielipp, Dasan Hill, Tyler Bremner, Luis De Leon (Baltimore). Can you pull me a summary (spreadsheet stole or similar visual) that shows their stats so far in 2026? Here are the stats I want to see. For hitters: age, level (MLB, AAA, AA, etc.) games played, plate appearances, HR, SB, K%, BB%, wRC+, wOBA, AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, ISO, barrel rate, maxEV, BABIP, GB%, FB%, LD%. For Pitchers: age, level, games played, games started, innings pitched, K%, BB%, K, BB, ERA, FIP, xFIP, HR/FB%, BABIP. If a player has stats at multiple levels, show both levels separately as well as their combined 2026 stats. If any player has a recent injury note on rotowire let me know. You can find all of these stats on Fangraphs and Baseball Reference and Baseball Savant and other popular sites. Some players may have no 2026 data yet. If you can't find the stat for a certain player or if you aren't 100% sure it's the right stat just leave it blank. I may ask you to update this list every few weeks.
  18. Get Claude to make you a dashboard or pull a custom report when asked.
  19. Crochet blowing his whole season tonight Yuck
  20. 2024 + 2025 combined, Lenyn Sosa had an xwOBA of .324 Ranks 123rd out of 272 hitters with at least 600 PA in that timeframe That's a viable bat. Only 26. They are looking for someone who can actually barrel it up. When Springer got hurt they had to sub MYLES STRAW at DH, that says enough right there. The bench only has a f***ing pinch hitter worth a potato on it when Davis Schneider doesn't start the game.
  21. What So you were writing him off and people hated it but now you are saying don't write him off? I mean nobody is writing him off after 60 PA. Just like nobody is saying that all of these guys are cooked: Aranda, Bichette, Jarren Duran, Alonso, Springer, Bregman, Ketel Marte, Buxton, Roman Anthony, Geraldo Perdomo, Busch, Devers, Suarez, Sal Perez, Carson Benge, Grisham, Pasquantino, Josh Naylor (just a small sample of the guys at replacement level or worse so far) wow Josh Naylor has a negative wRC+ after 15 games. WBC Naylor is trucking along like a zombie into the MLB regular season.
  22. Well that is sad Okamoto looked so good... for a series
